It was in fact:-
halloween III- Season of the Witch No sign of Michael Myers anywhere. |
|

Hannibal Rising might fit the bill, too.

Wrong What is? |
|
By:
It was in fact:-
halloween III- Season of the Witch No sign of Michael Myers anywhere. Surely the sequel that wasn't a sequel was Halloween 3? (if you call a third film in a series a sequel) So the sequel to that (again, if sequel is the right word) is Halloween 4. |
|
By:
Have you been drinking?
|
|
By:
No. Because Halloween 4 was a sequel to Halloween 2, not Halloween 3.
BUT Halloween 3 had a fantastic 80s electro theme tune. Very spooky and lo-fi |
|
By:
The question is badly worded - it could be interpreted either way IMO.
|
|
By:
OK, if H4 was a sequel to H2 then you're saying that H2 wasn't a sequel.
Except it was. |
|
By:
So the actual answer is Halloween 5 :D
think about it. It's true. |

Don't try to hi-jack my thread again, go start your own where the tumble weed tumbles and take your mind bending puzzles & drugs with you. |

There is no answer.
The sequel that wasn't a sequel can only possibly be H3 (if you assume that the word sequel is the correct word). There was no sequel to H3 because the story went back to Michael Myers as per H1 & H2. So the answer is....there is no answer. |

There is no answer. The sequel that wasn't a sequel can only possibly be H3 (if you assume that the word sequel is the correct word). I agree the answer is Haloween III as previously posted. |

By:
**, im stopping thinking about this now. This is a right head pickle...

By:
You don't need to think, you have been given the answer :|
|
|
By:
Lol. You might have previously posted it but you're wrong
Which horror film was a sequel to a sequel that wasn't a sequel? 'A sequel that wasn't a sequel' has to be simultaneously a sequel and not a sequel (in different senses) to meet that definition. Agreed? Good. Halloween 4 was a sequel (to Halloween 2) but not a sequel to the film immediately before it in the chain. So the film that was 'a sequel to a sequel that wasn't a sequel' has to be Halloween 5. |
|
By:
But it's not the right answer
|
|
By:
Why not?
Halloween 3 certainly is the wrong answer. |

By:
Journeyman.
Making a fool of himself yet again. |
|
By:
The word sequel cannot be used 3 times in that sentence if it is to make sense.
|
|
By:
Haloween 2 was the sequel to haloween (that is agreed), therefore when released haloween 3 was supposed to be a sequel to the sequel (h2), however when people went to the cinema it did not deliver what they thought it was going to. Summing up, it was billed as a sequel to a sequel in name but the storyline was not a sequel.

|
By:
Yes we know that.
