1996, I was working in Milton Keynes for 6 weeks, and watched all the tourny there. Seems like yesterday. I was really upset the night we got eliminated, but went to Flamingo's down by the railway station and pulled a young chick, so it wasn't all that bad.

First game we drew 1-1 with the Swiss, Shearer with the opener.
Second game we beat Scotland 2-0 after they missed a penalty to equalise. What a goal from Gazza!!! Third game we hammered the Dutch 4-1!!!! Quarter final we were very luck to beat Spain on penalties. They had two good goals chalked off. Semi final we took the lead through Shearer, drew 1-1 in normal time. Anderton hit the post then Gazza was an inch away from scoring, before we lost on penalties... |
