Twice this week I have been online playing poker and suddenly the screen goes blank I can hear the game going on so I'm not disconnected. Turn off turn back on and back. Any ideas?

Could be be a graphics card problem, update the drivers for your graphics card,or change your screen resolution

Caress your computer. Stroke it. Kiss it. Hump it even. Make it feel like one of the family. Though not your wife's family.

Grahics drivers are usually at the heart of these problems,no video but sound is a strong pointer

It's not the screen saver kicking in if you don't touch it for a minute or so is it?

Joel in real life I'm quite a bright bloke but I dont know what a screen saver kicking in means
Report ROCKIN HORSE • December 7, 2009 12:03 AM GMT
Joel, that is possible,as is if the power settings for the monitor are to shut down if idle,as with all computers could be one of many things
Report Joel • December 7, 2009 12:05 AM GMT
I mean does it happen when you're using the mouse, or does it only seem to happen say if you dont touch the mouse or keyboard for a minute or something like that
Report Petrus Romanus • December 7, 2009 12:06 AM GMT
think u nailed it there guys...check power settings and see whether monitor is set to shut off after a set time...change it to 'never' and ur laughing imo.
Report ROCKIN HORSE • December 7, 2009 12:06 AM GMT

Cant see that its a delay like that. I haven't been monitoring what I do by the second but basically I'm on a poker screen and clicking "fold" a lot. ( I'm cautious early doors) and clicking back on to the forum for ....hmmm entertainment.
