The fish finger oprtion is pretty good value, Canny.
A box of Tesco's cod fillet ones are £1.49 for ten.
I found 2-3 at a time was a good portion for a cat = 30-45p. Still expensive, but cheaper than buying fresh fish - and probably more convenient to just 'have in'.

I think the "blocks" of frozen haddock or cod would be cheaper Tommy. You can get 4 decent sized fillets for about £3-50, and lots more fish than maybe 10 packs of fingers. Even enough for the cat owner. lol

Night Andy.

True, Canny.
It's just that cooking a whole fillet for just the cat would be too much - unless you were having the rest for yourself.
Still, each to their own.
Knowing how fussy cats are - and how much they will or won't eat at any given time, and then how they don't want to go back to food that's been in the bowl for a while, I think the fish finger option is just easier all round.

The cat my daughters had when they were young preferred chocolate over cat food.

recently my cat has been covering up treats .... pawing an envelope on the side as if to try to get something to cover her tuna up

any ideas why she would do this?

Animals are more attuned to the cosmos. Your cat understands that the end of times is upon us.

Ruuuuunnnnnnnn :(

You may be thinking of Potassium Cyanide.

Andy, my cat does this (the paw cleaning bit, not the burying bit) if I run out of her normal catfood give her something she doesn't like.

I've always thought it means she is trying to say it smells worse than **. In your case it may mean 'please, for pity's sake, not more tuna!'

thing is she loves(d) tuna, and almost begs for it til she gets it, the other thing she does it with is cat whiskas cat treats, again she'll sit there wide eyed staring at me until i give her some.

Got some tuna pate cat food earlier, couldnt find gourmet gold, but im guessing its a similar thing

Well, cats are not necessarily the most logical creatures Andy. Begging for it and then not wanting it after all is par for the course.

Too right, I think they,re power freaks, making me get up to the fridge then not wanting the food.....
