Blisteringly fast. HD movies in under 40 minutes. Whole series in minutes. Get things before they appear on Torrents as well.
Can get 180Gb of downloads for about £15 on Astranet. About 36 HD movies worth.
Safer than Torrents as well as almost impossible to trace if using SSL. Highly recommended.

How easy is it to use, OR? Whenever I've looked at it there seems a lot of complicated bits to it, e.g. searches?
Incidentally I downloaded a 2012 blu ray film via torrent in 27 minutes today, so not sure if the advantage of usenet is that great.

I've been downloading one since December 2009 
Usenet is the best with astraweb as the provider and grabit as a usenet downloader. You need a 'nzb' website which is an index of films,tv shows,music to download. You can also use 'binsearch' website but can be tricky as there is some 'fake' usenet nzb downloads.

torrents are great for popular and/or recent stuff. but usenet is better for older and/or more esoteric items
