just ordered all 142 episodes of phil silvers show

I have them all on DVD as well. Fantastic, I agree.

Will you be going to the episode involving Private Harry Speakup first?

My favourite is where Bilko volunteers his platoon for the contamination chamber thinking it is a singing contest. :)

A quality purchase. I got the complete set of Laural and Hardy a couple of months back, best fifty quid I have spent in a long time.

i have been looking for this

thank you

what a bargain

Bilko - fuqin magic.

The Phil Silvers Show has fallen out of copyright and, consequently, you can buy the full set for £9.99 on Ebay.

I still think £24.99 is an amazing bargain, though, and maybe MM has purchased an enhanced version from the official site.

often wondered how many times he could get away with those crazy schemes of his, seems the answer was 142 guess in final episode he was shot by firing squad after finally being caught ?

I'm tempted, but the site seems "strange"

They want all your card details BEFORE they give you any address/Company name etc.

??????????????????????????//

Have a look on Ebay then Des.

Cheers

Thinly veiled I've just bought all the episodes thread.

No other TV program of that era has retained its magic. Still as fresh today as it ever was.

You forget Blaster Bates fella.

Agree with bodil there, cant believe how good Phil Silvers Show is, they really hit a peak in the early days TV with that one.

As for Blaster Bates:

[i]He was hired to clear out a farm septic tank with explosives, with predictably gruesome results

musclemans law........ the uglier the brother.......

shot johny ringo just for fun! tex doberman

Bilko was an early role model for me as a child, followed my Maverick.

Bought the full set incl pictured discs from an Ebay seller a while back. obviously copied from the TV shows on television but didnt pay a great deal and quality is vv good

I like Charlie from 2 and half men as my role model, maybe mixed witth Tony Soprano

little des, bought it via paypal account , company is called 'great film distribution ' .
yes. harry speak up will be the first one i watch and then the twitch.
