Report Lemon Cobra2: Return of the Dr • November 17, 2006 11:31 PM GMT
I'm only playing with you.

I like a wide variety of music really. A lot of the stuff today is utter carp. I occasionaly listen to 60s music and one of the last CDs I bought was Johnny Cash. Other oldies I like are Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, Bee Gees and Abba (don't larf).
Report The punter formerly known as h • November 17, 2006 11:32 PM GMT

Absolutely, some of his work is incredibly good.
Report The punter formerly known as h • November 17, 2006 11:35 PM GMT

When my father died, I was 9, my brother 7.

My mother wanted to "keep us busy" after that spending time with us. Nice days were spent out. Rainy days, in a movie theatre.

She saw an ad in the paper - A teenager and an old lady on a motorcycle, the graphic changed so the wheels were flowers. Looked interesting. Off we went.

The opening scene, a fake suicide. Then, slowly the movie evolved that the teenager named Harold liked faking his suicide for attention and going to funerals as a hobby.

"That's it", thought my mom. "I've officially traumatized them for life". But she looked at us laughing and she starting chuckling along as well from suicide to funeral and through his love affair with elder Maude.

Still one of my favourite films of all time as with my brother.

Cat Stevens singing all the way through was priceless and burned onto my brain. Through teenage years smoking weed with my good late friend Steve and my friend of 4 decades, Bert.

Listening to Cat Stevens sing Peace Train makes you realize some music, lyrics, and performers will carry on through time.

Nice to see him.

Cat was a great talent.

Here are my 5 favourite Cat songs which never seem to ever get anywhere remotely near his greatest hits albums and are underrated.

1. I love them all (NAP).
2. I wish, I wish.
3. Tuesday's Dead (nb).
4. Lovely City(When do you laugh)
5 Jzero.

Studio versions, as much as I love him, he was better in the studio than on the road.
Plz excuse any spelling as my keyboard is full of spag bol, lager and tea - I,m on the way out.
