BOGOF
Report Jimbo747 December 3, 2009 10:13 AM GMT
Half price. Sometimes end up buying 2 of whatever it is, and end up not using it / throwing away.

Should ban bogofs and make it only half price, therefore not forcing people to take 2 of something they might only want 1 for.

Plus, when it is bogof, it feckin annoys me when there is only 1 of the item left.

Half price is better value.. as a retailer buy 1 get 1 free is more profitable, thank you mugs ;)

I prefer buy 1 get 2 free. My local morrisons has been doing it on 2 litre bottles of pepsi. Double edged sword though. The money i've saved on pepsi will now go towards dental bills.

I am fed up with Half Price LIES !!
say -- Tin of Victoria Biscuits £5 !!
which means they WANT you to believe they were actually £10
before the "SUPPOSEDLY " Half Price offer ...UTTER RUBBISH !!..
its against the RRP which is a made up NOTHING price , that is just Think of ANY figure and call it RRP ...so shops can claim a % discount "sale" ...

I could put the RRP of a toothbrush at £30 ...sell it for £1 and say .....1/30 price SALE .....it means NOTHING !!...
Bur idiots fall for for it ..
Report panglima December 3, 2009 10:45 AM GMT

Place your orders with the local shoplifter, for me.

They sure do.
Think by law an item is supposed to be at a certain price for 7days or similair before being in a 'sale'
There are many ways around this such as clearance sale.... special lines....etc etc. Have had many an item not sell yet stick half price on it (when in fact it is not half price and the muggy public will snap them up. SALE are the 4 most powerful letters going when in retail.

When we worked in a market, there used to be a bloke who come round asking everyone what they wanted from Superdrug. He would return 20 minutes later with about £10 worth of gear and we would give him a packet of bacon and a small block of cheese for it :)
