They're all pricey but that far up the road isn't too touristy so anywhere will be ok.

Bradleys, nap. Spanish bar just off it.

Northumberland Arms/Tavern - can't remember which, quite poky but very cosy.

Ta chaps.

Spanish bar? Now you're talking!!!!

There is one right on a corner along Oxford Street - quite narrow and with a restaurant downstairs. Always really busy but don't know the name.
Report Huckerson December 3, 2009 10:25 AM GMT
That'll be Bradley's Rog. Just getting the A-Z to give you the road.
Report lovegod December 3, 2009 10:26 AM GMT
Roger, is that the Tottenham? Its on Oxford Street but near the corner of Tottenham Court Road.
Report Huckerson December 3, 2009 10:27 AM GMT
Right. Bradley's bar, Hanway St, runs between Tott Ct Rd ans Oxford Street. Excellent eclectic juke box as well.
Report Roger The Butler December 3, 2009 10:30 AM GMT
Yes, that's the one - the Tottenham, not the Spanish bar.

Heaving but decent and good restaurant in basement as long as you aren't looking for a posh expensive meal.

I'll see Roger's viewlondon and raise you www.beerintheevening.com just type in Bradley's, it's about third down, first 5 comments should be enough for you to decide...

My, you chaps are helpful!

Ta muchos (getting with the Spanish vibe already, y'see!)

It's well worth a visit, and if you don't like it, you can always move on. Enjoy, whatever you do.

Why not make a detour and visit the Shakespeare in Victoria?
Report Adagio December 3, 2009 10:51 AM GMT
Been there, untied; 's all right, nowt special imo

Think he's being sarcy. I started a thread about it the other day, I've never been, but the beerinthe website must make it the most atrocious pub in London...
Report Adagio December 3, 2009 11:02 AM GMT
It has some serious competition for that title!

The Spanish bar is a bit of a cult boozer. Tiny, shabby, pi55 poor bogs but full of character (and not the faux variey). Used to drink there all the time when I worked round the corner. Everyone should go at least once in their lives.
Report Adagio December 3, 2009 11:32 AM GMT
I think technically speaking that The ferry Boat is in Tottenham and that is most acceptable

I've been there a couple of times. It's worth a visit. In my opinion, the Tottenham is not.

nice pub, but a serious risk of getting typhoid in the toilet
Report jamesbeckton. December 3, 2009 12:05 PM GMT
There is a metal pub around the back of centre point! All the pubs around there kinda suck. There is a spoons on Charing Cross road and there is a Sam Smiths pub at Oxford Circusdown the road next to top shop.
