spain has enforced this for years, as has gibraltar, france etc. dogs must have all vaccines, passport, micro chip and ID card. should a dog not have the above, the dog can be removed. staffies and other breeds classed as dangerous dogs, advise all owners to obtain a med check to say they are mentally stable and responsible for the pet, and a police check to ensure they have no record and the dog is being kept for the right reasons. the cost alone of the above deters idiots from having the animals as fashion accesories. no dog is born evil, they are rasied that way. all pups should be well socialised and reared in a loving stable home, little things like removing the food bowl from the animal while eating to ensure you can, helps the dog build trust in the owner and ensures the pet is happy, well balance and content. chav dog owners should be charged and prevented from owning other animals, they really do make me sick. |

Seems the most sensible, cost effective solution. No muzzle, fine/asbo, then jail if you rack up enough warnings. |

so EVERY single dog amongst the millions out there who HAVENT ripped a lads face apart must suffer ? So by your reckoning, when there is a fight outside a pub on a Sat night a) ALL pubs must be closed or have security outside the door b) ALL men of a certain age are either banned, refused a liecence to drink alcohol or have there hands tied behind there backs to stop them from attacking anyone else? c)complete closure of all lesire activities likely to cause a human to come into contact with another, and so increase the possibility of an assault by said individual. All very extreme and impratical but no more so than asking for EVERY dog to be muzzled as if they are a threat to society. For the record how many people are injured by animals of any description per year compared with their own kind i.e human? |

The dogs are a menace in the wrong hands and as has been said their owners think they are harmless ,my dog a greyhound has been attacked twice by bull terrier types both dogs had escaped from their house ,on the 2nd occasion the lady owner said she wont do anything shes friendly ,as she said that the dog immediatley attacked my dog who was on the lead ,fortunately she slipped the lead and ran round the block with the fat twaddle chasing her ,
was quite funny watching the lump return exhausted ,I told the owner and her husband if I see it off the lead again ,I will cave its head in ,seen the lady tonight with it on its long metal leash snarling and growling at my dog again ,I was hoping it would slip the lead :^0 |

nice one casemoney would loved to have seen the pitbull try to chase the greyhound, i bet it was properly knackered by the time sense prevailed.
I dont mind people coming on here and asking for extreme caution when dealing with certain breeds but the planks who come on and throw all breeds into the same melting pot and beyond words to be honest. The dogs havent got the brainpower to do anything differant but sadly these people have even less of an intellect. |

I dont blame the dogs for being aggressive to her she is a big black ** 33 kilos and they probably find her menacing ,fair enuff if their on their lead ,the first occasion my mrs was walking her my dog was actually hit by a car when she bolted ..

Dangerous breeds should be defined and outlawed,Panthers are part of the cat family,you dont see many of them prowling the streets they are illegal , (probably wouldnt see too many pit bulls around though if they did roam the streets ,they'd end up as snacks)
