No. Seven years ago I was a rather butch woman called Shirley.

Massive change in my last seven years, but seven years is 30.43% of my life to date.

Even when I was 19 I was fresh-faced, had hair, cared about what I wore and was enthusiastic. Now at 23 I'm a usually-bearded, balding, fashion-averse miserable cûnt. :)

No, very different and not solely due to wife's cancer. I'm now in the 'angry old men' camp.

I'm a stone heavier than I was in 2002, got less hair, less money, a lot less work, but just as miserable.

I thought this was going to be the thing about all the atoms in your body being turned over every 7 years so you're not, but it wasn't.

Goring: funny you should think that:

for many humans - every single cell in within the body is renewed within every 7 year period - so we are , apparantly , not the same person as we wre 7 years ago

except for smokers - who carry around pints of tar in their lungs for as long as they live and dont get rid of it

Haven't changed a bit, still the same person I always was. My glass is always half full and see the good in people not the bad.

It comes up in the philosophical queston of identity, (thesseuss's ship) and all that.
Apparently humans do have some permanent cells and thus do have a physical connecting aspect over time.

Surely when people hit their 30s they all recognise what a prkk they were when they were 18?
