Every time i go over my overdraft they charge me 30 quid. Am 53 p over because they charged me interest. i would have put doe in but didnt no it was coming out. I have recently moved out of my mums but havnt changed the address with the bank. Would that work so they wont charge me. Trying to save a few quid to go out over xmas!

As I see it, the people who moan on here about bank charges have two options:

:: They keep moaning on here and do fúck all about it.
:: They ring their bank and complain. If that doesn't work, they keep ringing their bank and are very abusive to the staff. Then they move to a different bank.

if you complain to the bank on the odd occasion they will normally refund the charge .But if you persist on incurring charges they wont refund them ...and why should they ...theyve written and told you the charges ....
Report Max Cady • November 30, 2009 2:01 AM GMT
can't you just get an authorised overdraft? then you only get charged interest
Report statman99 • November 30, 2009 2:06 AM GMT
Have you ever considered not spending money you don't have? Seems like most Brits think borrowing is a human right these days.

WTF is wrong with you people? Just stop spending money you don't have. Simples.

i chose the second option and rang and complained about the never ending fone calls i receive from indian call centres. i have been told by hsbc they are closing my account as they dont think their staff should tolerate such abuse. the gentleman then added in his letter, that he didnt want to speak to me and expects me to respect his wishes!

funny how we're expected to respect their wishes and not give them harrassment, but have no option but to accept unsolicited fone calls from somebody whose barely intelligible, from 8 am till 9pm.
