do you mean the hazard is on your side and you should be giving way as per highway code?!

Being a fromer city dweller moving to the countryside I have been surprised by the number of drivers who don't acknowledge your kindness in stopping to let them through when it is your right of way. I've found the best was to deal with the situation is to now drive straight through fast making them stop and sticking two fingers up at them as you drive through.

They are the worst! Driving around in those tractors right up the middle of the road so that nobody can overtake them!

Horse riders are the worst.
I try to help by passing them as quickly as possible and all I get is abuse. |

do you mean the hazard is on your side and you should be giving way as per highway code?! No I don't, I mean in any given situation. And even in the one you describe, do you not think that pulling over for the other car/vehicle warrants a gesture or some form of acknowledgement? |
By:
not funny gone green.....i know your joking......i actually see wan ky drivers cane it pass horses..kn obs heads....always found horse riders very thankful when you take it slow around them or give way...lots of orses on roads where i live...
By:
I agree Diamond, I always slow down for horses. To help warn the riders of my impending appraoch I find it helps to beep your horn a few times.
By:
i do....i also do on my wifes behalf and she gets the right hump...lol

Another one is drivers who don't indicate when turning right on roundabouts.
By:
Busses always the worst.
By:
Cant stand drivers who don't indicate you wait for what seems like ages to get out then the cnut turns left with no indication and you coud of been away.
By:
People who don't know how to use mini roundabouts.
The rules are the same as for roundabouts. Give way to traffic on the roundabout coming from the right. This doesn't mean wait until the roundabout is completely empty and there is no traffic approaching any of the entrances. (While I sit behind seething and hooting). |
By:
On the subject of roundbouts people who don't understand how to use them when they have traffic lights on, I have seen people stop in the middle blocking an exit as they are looking at the wrong **g lights.

totally agree with the opening post

woman drivers aged 25-40,they really do think they own the road

By:
i believe in kama man do you get me

By:
**s who don't know how to use roundabouts warrants a thread of its own imo
By:
we all own the road - or at least those of us who pay our road tax do :D
By:
Drivers who leave spaces in a motorway queue or at traffic lights should be publicly caned.

Not sure about that, will closing right up to the car in front get you home any sooner in a 6 mile tailback? |
By:
Switching lanes without indicating ( sometimes without even looking) when there are cars around them.
By:
Drivers in the outside lane of a motorway, or any multi lane road for that matter, with miles of room in front of them who won't pull over to let you pass...khunts imo.

Drivers who leave spaces in a motorway queue or at traffic lights should be publicly caned. It makes me incandescent with rage when the idiot in front of me lets some w@nker push in a queue I have been waiting in for half an hour. I prefer to open a gap in front of me then close it as they make a move to push in. |
By:
Drivers who ignore the lane closure sign and drive past queueing cars so they can push in just before they get to the lane closure cones...I want to kill them
By:
ah well letting someone into said gap is a different matter altogether.
By:
Lorry drivers driving at 41 mph taking 10 mins to overtake another lorry driving 40.5 mph and causing a 10 mile tail back. ARGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
By:
It's wise to leave a gap in front in a traffic jam. Should you be the victim of an assasination attempt you need to be able to get out of the traffic and get away from the danger. Also, on a motorway, should a drunken lorry driver watching porn on his lapton smash into your rear, you wouldnt want to be trapped up the rear of the person in front.

Sounds embarrassing. Wonder what the epitaph would be?

Drivers who ignore the lane closure sign and drive past queueing cars so they can push in just before they get to the lane closure cones...I want to kill them I agreed... until a few days ago, when after taking 30 minutes to drive two miles on the M4 the electronic signs told us that the middle and outside lanes were closed ahead. So most people moved into the inside lane, or the middle lane with a view to going into the inside lane - only for the outside lane to be open after all. The people who do those signs are cúnts. They are usually ages out of date or just downright lies. |

Drivers who leave spaces in a motorway queue or at traffic lights should be publicly caned. Don't go to Canada. At red traffic lights they have to leave a cars length between cars. |

Leeds supporters coaches that block junctions ,you're not moving so let me turn right

Swearbox 29 Nov 17:05 Drivers who ignore the lane closure sign and drive past queueing cars so they can push in just before they get to the lane closure cones...I want to kill them Nothing wrong with that, is there a criteria as to which to where we should start entering into the correct lane? cars that drive to the lane closure cones keeps the tailback short, that's why there's a lane there |
By:
Another one, people who drive along a clear road (speed limit 50mph) at 30-35mph.
Then as they approach a roundabout and see a car coming from the right which they should give way to, they accelerate into it to make sure they beat the other car. Once they have made this ridiculously dangerous manoevre, then then go back to 30-35mph on tha next clear stretch of road. Absolute f*cking clowns!! |

Women rarely let you in. I don't know if it is because they lack confidence because they just stare straight ahead hands glued tight to the steering wheel. Or perhaps it is because they are ignorant.
By:
I'd say about 1 women in 10 acknowledge you when you let them through. Do they expect us to be chivalrous on the roads, therefore making the palm-show superfluous in their opinion?
You want equality, we want palms. Thank you. ]:) |
