You have to sign up to sky multiroom to be able to watch 2 different channels, costs an extra £10 a month! get her a freeview box!

ta but not that simple,i live in Portugal and although i have sky boxes i don`t subscribe, and obviously no freeview

have both boxes been connected to the dish before? if not you may only have a single LNB

if you have sports etc presumably you are operating a subscription through the UK somehow? it shouldn't be too hard to add multiroom for a tenner a month and get the extra card sent out

you need to replace the single lnb on your satellite receiver with a dual lnb and run an extra wire to your other box....this means you can watch different channels at the same time in different rooms....... http://www.tech-faq.com/dual-lnb.shtml
