Crazy idea, but perhaps seek legal advice from a lawyer as opposed to a betting forum?
Report THEOLDSHOWGROUND1 November 28, 2009 11:10 PM GMT
did you sign anything?

were you under caution.

and what does unretract mean?

i would take it to mean that you've retracted an earlier statement, but now want to stand by iyt.

You can retract it but they can still use it
Report glenivy November 28, 2009 11:13 PM GMT

Jesus, all the wannabe lawyers piling in. Hope you all have a good professional indemnity policy.
Report mexicano November 28, 2009 11:14 PM GMT
seems that might create a credibility problem.
Report glenivy November 28, 2009 11:14 PM GMT
i intent to seek legal advice monday morn but was just wondering.
Report Glossy November 28, 2009 11:17 PM GMT
mex, if you know anything about the legal system, you'll know that credibility has little or no part to play
Report stewardsenquirey November 28, 2009 11:17 PM GMT
Not a wanna be lawyer. But as a hyped up example.
If said fellow makes a statement of witnessing a murder(for example)
I would imagine it's rather hard to retract ?
The crime could be of a lesser offence, but the police still hold records and it won't be swept under the carpet.

If you shoplifted a loaf of bread, you're in trouble. If you embezzled a few million, you might get 20 hours of community service, if really unlucky.

My advice would be to claim you're Lord Lucan.

Oh, wait...

ex:. person a makes a statement, later retracts it presuming mater was over with. later same problem reacurs and another statement made.was wondering if first statement can be used as another example.
Report bodil November 28, 2009 11:33 PM GMT
I wouldn't worry - the law will probably be changed next week. Or the police will be given different targets. You should stay very still and play dead. They'll lose interest eventually.

Or, you could ask orioles.
