M de Murviedro, Syrah, Utiel Requena 2007, ASDA

listed in decanter mag in top 10 value supermarket reds, reviewed at a price of £5.48. This wine is now available as a 3 for £10 offern ASDA.

tasing notes:
100% Syrah. Shows intense black fruit on the nose with some peppery notes. Firm tannins on the palate, though these are balanced by the vibrant black fruit characters and elegant structure. Good length. Great value.

Enjoy..

i bought a bottle of sainsbury's basic range, just for cooking, opened it and had a swig, was waiting for the reaction akin to toilet cleaner, was pleasnntly supprised, not bad for £2.50, and it's 12%.

...black fruit characters and elegant structure. Good length.

What does good length mean in describing wines? Is it the length of time the flavour dwells on the palate?
Our Avon lady recently told me she's always on the lookout for a good length. She must be a wine connoisseur then.

Anyway thanks for the tip.
