I live in Brugge. No flights direct.When my daughters visit they fly to Brussels and take the train or take the chunnel and drive up.

Depends what you are after.Brugge is a lovely lively city but its not exactly cutting edge.

Christmas markets etc with the special lady. Was trying to avaoid the obvious places

The Xmas market is crap unless you can ice skate but if you are looking for the perfect romantic weekend break then Brugge is it. Its wonderful.
