I'm using one now as a 2nd laptop, its now my main computer. Great portability and does everything I want. My only gripe is they come with windows installed instead of Linux. This adds £50 to the price and takes away some of the reasons for buying one.
I picked up my Acer Aspire One with Linux for £144. It wasn't that hard to install XP onto it. I recently bought my son one for his birthday, as I couldn't get a Linux version I had to stump up £230 for a similar machine to mine.
If you need portability and need an internet ready machine then its ideal.1GB is more than enough for XP, nothing runs slow including my poker sites.
If your a gamer or need power hungry program then forget about it.
