maxwel. asda and tesco round here are 24 hour alcohol licenced. i go in on a saturday morning at about 5.45am and buy drink. i wonder if it's just certain designated stores, cos the tesco local at me mates wont sell drink after 11. loads of sh¿ the way it works though

Of course, the ASDA is open 24 hours but you can't buy alcohol after 11pm. Don't know what time you can buy it next morning.

This was another one ,where somebody had written in :- Due to licensing laws they are unable to serve alcohol between 12 midnight and 8am, yet I could travel to a petrol station 200 yards from the store and buy £1000 worth of booze. So it is against the law for Asda to sell booze at 4:30 am but it is perfectly ok for a petrol station where cars turn up to fill up their cars to sell booze. Does that make sense to you? That makes no sense at all

My Asda can sell alcohol till 3am. My mate who does nightshifts at Asda sees all sorts of messes coming in to buy booze at 2.55am so they can party after thier night out. Often sees girls in shirt skirts bending over for liqueurs etc.... while not wearing any undercrackers. :0 :0
