Being completely unfunny on every subject on which he proffers an opinion is a serious handicap for a comic

harsh 2 call him unfunny, not the best but nowhere near the worst comedian

I have watched loads of him on Mock the Week and if he has made me laugh on a single occasion I don't remember

I'd say his television exposure is massively at odds with his comedic 'talent'

most of his jokes are 'in jokes' relating to Lord of the rings or star wars

He spends alot of time talking "my mum" or "my nan" and heading down comedy cul-de-sacs

Im surprised any one can hear him on MTW---his head is stuck up Frankie Boyles ar$e so far he sounds muffled.....

Another who should count him self VERY lucky for his tv exposure and if i was him id keep all the dvd revenue he gets safe for a rainy day as sure as eggs are eggs Russel is certainly gonna need it"!

Funniest thing I've heard in ages - nearly as good as Lee Mack's. Now he is seriously funny and underated.

His "I genuinely..." anecdotes on MTW grained on me to begin with because of the sheer implausibility of them all happening, but I think he's come on in the last year or so. His Good News programme is watchable - and so it should be at the time of night that it's on. ;)
