An apparent re-hashing of the Regional Quiz.
Anyone welcome, no need to sign up, other than in the minutes before each match. We DO need a team captain though for each team, to pick the question subject for their 'home games'. Quizzes are ten questions long, each question will allow 30 secs for an answer before a skinner. Only one answer per player. Unlimited players per team but MUST be signed in before kick off.
Teams are:
Southern Dandies
**ney Winkers
Heart of England
Northern Monkeys
Gaelic Charm
Jonny Foreigners
These are self-defining, but you can't change teams mid-season.
There will be three matches each sunday, the first at 9pm. League tables will be kept, as will top goalscorers, but it will NOT be very serious.
Captains please! You don't need to be there for every game.

Captains need to pick a broad subject for questions...with Sunday being the cut-off point. E.g TV, Sport, Literature, History, and so on and so on.

Yeah it just occurred to me bj, that captains could blacklist people, but thinking further, there are no penalties for wrong answers so it doesn't really matter. |

Would it be worth me creating a 'sign up' thread? it's not really necessary, but if I had the teams in bold and the captains underneath with (c) it might make it simpler and be interesting too?

i think a more democratic method of determining captains might be better. can only play late sundays myself so not really affected.

I would agree Easter, but they're only captains to pick the subject...so they've no 'power' once the quiz has started. Besides, if you look at the first 3 to volunteer, they've all volunteered to stand aside if someone else is more keen.

Should have said, I gather another quiz sometiomes happens at 8, so quizzes will start at 9pm. as there will be three, all will take place between 9 and 11.
