At least it's safe, a postie would have chucked it in yer hedge.
Report takethestand November 14, 2009 12:28 PM GMT
hedge is only at end of garden, not 31 miles away
Report mtoto2 November 14, 2009 12:30 PM GMT
cost you more to pick it up than what its worth :-)
Report d13phe November 14, 2009 12:30 PM GMT
wouldnt have minded the hedge tbh

or if they just gave it to the next door neighbour

For Orioles that's the same thing.

its a wii fit plus for the missus

this company have cost me major brownie points therefore my pass out tonight is not looking as good as it should be
Report mtoto2 November 14, 2009 12:34 PM GMT
just get her to run there and back. won't need her wii fit then ;-)
Report CUPRA November 14, 2009 12:35 PM GMT
Why didn't you get it delivered to your workplace?
Report d13phe November 14, 2009 12:37 PM GMT
thats what i should have done but we have countless depots around the corner and usually get the card and just pop round to collect it

will order it to work next time
Report The Genius November 14, 2009 12:37 PM GMT
I'd get a bird that doesn't need wii fit plus if i was you.

Report d13phe November 14, 2009 12:38 PM GMT

Is Spaffing on Chebs for the Nintendo Wii out yet?
Report CUPRA November 14, 2009 12:39 PM GMT
That's okay then. Do watch out though, Amazon using City Link which as you say has no normal person on the ned of the phone and only allows you to say when you want it re-delivered to a place that you won't be at anyway and so you can ring and re-arrange a delivery day to a place where you won't be at so you get a card to ring them up and re-arrange a day to deliver to a place that you won't be at anyway
Report CUPRA November 14, 2009 12:39 PM GMT
Ryerson. Ok.

lol d13phe. :)

i think the solution here is to make the missus go for a run to collect the wii fit plus. she'd only be running on the spot once she gets it anyway, so she might as well run somewhere and do something of use first.

Is it not law that that it's up to the seller to make sure the buyer receives the goods?
Report G1_Jockey_4 November 14, 2009 1:23 PM GMT
dont buy off amazon if you dont like the way they deliver stuff

i refuse to use them because they sent me wrong stuff before twice
Report horseman November 14, 2009 1:25 PM GMT
Utterly bizzare post

You order online you know delivery is v possibly courier thoough you KNOW your gonan be out so courier leaves card.City link also attempt TWO deliveries before re-arange delivery though you can do it after one.

What on earth does a depot have to do with it and its location?

Seems a huge generation of hysterical gayers start to seethe if everything doesnt revolve around their personal circs.Amazon will not let City link leave it with a neighbour etc.

Just grow a pair and pick the parcel up

Can anyone name a company more efficient that Amazon? FFS they are streets ahead of any other online company

Made 4 purchases on Amzon for wife over a week ago

1st item arrived no problem

2nd item arrived all smashed up, it had been packed already smasshed up as the outer packaging was fine ( got a refund though)

3rd item still hasnt been seen , was sent on 8th nov

4th item , and this is best one, wife ordered a bed headboard for spare bed and a book written in turkish came instead,, still trying to sort that out
Report Dobbo November 14, 2009 10:21 PM GMT
I find that hard to believe. We buy stuff from Amazon on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis and have done for years. It ALWAYS arrives within hours. Are you talking about Amazon market place? Thats a different kettle of shysters altogether
Report d13phe November 14, 2009 10:23 PM GMT
no

3 of them were through market place to be fair but it was amazon who fked up the bed headboard / turkish book as they have linked it wrong on their site
Report Dobbo November 14, 2009 10:24 PM GMT
The Question wasn't adressed to you. Your problem is you were not in when the courier came but the item was sent . You should have left a signed note then then they would have left it.
Report Dobbo November 14, 2009 10:26 PM GMT
To be honest getting a Turkish book when you order a headboard on line is and easy mistake to make.
Report d13phe November 14, 2009 10:26 PM GMT
probably because they gave me a item dispatch estimate of 14th Nov which is a saturday

if it wasnt the 14th i would have had it sent to work as thats where i am all week
Report .¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> November 14, 2009 10:27 PM GMT
they still have it on their website linked to the book place , would have thought they would take it down
Report .¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> November 14, 2009 10:32 PM GMT
i'm allowed to keep the book though, no sign of headboard or money back yet but at least i've got something to read
Report Dobbo November 14, 2009 10:34 PM GMT
The only problem we have ever had is when my wife ordered a "collectable" JK Rowlling book. It had a skull on the cover and one of the eyes was cracked. She e mailed them and they said they would replace it if she sent the faulty one back. The replacement arrived before she posted the return. Thats service.

The thing i am waiting for was sent on 8th november, how long should it take by standard delivery , other 2 things came really quickly, have i contributed to the posties xmas collection early ? or do i still have a chance of getting it .
Report Dobbo November 14, 2009 10:43 PM GMT
usually unless they tell you otherwise stuff is sent straight away. I have ordered stuff on Sunday afternoon that is there on Monday.

this is coiming from another company but the fact they have already sent it means it;s out of their hands now so not much i can do if it dosnt turn up ?

If its with a courier find out which one. Most of them are **e first off. You have to train them
