I like my avocados nearly black and Foinavon's post reminded me of when I was in hospital in the early 70s.
After an unfortunate incident in a Rugby club I found myself in a hospital ward . In the next bed was an ignorant Chelsea supporter. His perpetual stream of twaddle about "The Shed" was annoying to say the least. A pretty young thing of a nurse came to this yob and gave him some tablets , iron tablets I believe.. "There will be no side effects but your motions might turn black." , she told him. He looked puzzled. After a few moments he addressed me. " Oy moosh, You fink you know everythink, what are your motions?" "Motions?" I said " oh , they are your balls." He did not say much for the next couple of days. He was too busy inspecting himself.

Why were you in hospital ? maybe I shouldn't ask, yes that is a question that should remain unanswered.
