You can join in after the first race, it hapeens quite often when they have an early start in the winter.

Most horse players betfair brains don't function until after 1-00 p.m.

You watch tomorrows thread, and I go odds on that paranoidandroid and curious cat are among the last 5 to post, out of over 40.

Same in every competition, even Royal Ascot, and that starts at 2-30.

I shed a tear when I stumbled across a dog visiting it's dying owner in hospital the other day. I did not dare to play the video.

I BLUBBER through sad films so much my wife has to tell me to "SHUT THE FXCK UP I CAN'T HEAR THE TV" also any time the Wallabies are in front in a test match or behind at full time or any time I see any kind of animal or vet show on TV.

I take my dog to Fitzpatrick's Referrals (The Supervet) once month for his chemotherapy. I have unashamedly shed a few tears on more than one occasion when other owners are saying their final goodbye to their pet.

it is 100% not acceptable to cry if you lose a bet or lose money, that's childish behaviour

death of a family member or friend - totally fine

men should cry only when they are outside and they are alone and it is raining and preferably at nighttime and they are walking
By:
lfc1971
When: 31 Mar 18 16:46
that's easier for men, it makes them more human because they are not meant to cry, so they don't
and then if these restrictions are put on men crying, and they don't
then they do at other times, ie as described
and so these restrictions make men more human, not less

I have just been stuck in 'the circle of life' on you tube - go through all the versions of it and have a dry eye

I dare you

I have to say I think only a black africans should sing this

all the others are good but Lebo M is probably the best - the africans have it as far as I can see

bang on melting stuff  - and I was only researching THE PIANO BOYS who did a piece with the nigerian/american singer Alex Boye

anyone see those norwegians singing that laplander ethnic stuff - amazing similarity in some parts to some African stuff

Someone said earlier in the thread, I can't recall who said it that it was very uncool for a bloke to shed a tear watching a film. That has only ever happened to me once and it was when watching the film 'I, Daniel Blake'. I'll never watch that film again, it was very upsetting.

A quick update on the cat situation for you kenny, all are neutered so no more litters thankfully. He is down to 19 now and is going to move in with the daughter in the next 6 months as he is not getting around too well now and is unsteady on his pins, he will have a really lovely ground floor garden flat in Herne Hill which is a nice part of South London. God only knows what I'm going to do with the cats that survive, he can take his two favourites with him but that's all, we'll have to pay to get the others rehomed somehow. The cat protection leagues etc. have been way beyond worse than hopeless. God knows I have tried my best but really G, it's like banging my head against a brick wall and I've given up with all of them. Believe me, I have exhausted every possible avenue but they don't really give a toss when all is said and done.

You've done well to get them all spayed and neutered, slippy, that's really important. Cat's P are a bit hopeless, the independent re-homing places are the best but sadly nearly always full, but you can sometimes get on the waiting list. Seems you've done a good job. Give me a final update in due course about the 17.Cheers.

I will do mate, hopefully by September we'll have got everything sorted and the old boy can have a nice and relaxing time in his dotage with his children and grandkids around him and just kick back with no stress in his life anymore.

Cats Protection have millions in the bank, why don't they spend it on re-homing centres.?

That came to light in the Icelandic banking crisis 10 years ago, when they were set to lose 11 million. Not sure of the final outcome.

A bit like this from 1972, 46 years ago.
The Omaha Sun papers, in an expose that won a Pulitzer Prize, disclosed that Boys Town was far better endowed than the public ever suspected.
Its well-orchestrated fund drives (“He ain’t heavy, Father, he’s m’ brother”) had tugged at enough hearts and wallets to build the institution’s net worth to more than $200 million.

The only film that made me cry was Forest Gump, when Jenny left him and then when she died.  I was about 10 though so I'm excused from shame.

I "well up" whenever Tin Cup knocks that ball onto the green and into the hole when everyone says it's an impossible shot.

"Hell, I can make this", .... brilliant.
