I saw them with John Cooper Clarke and The Buzzcocks in June. Clarke was brilliant; The Buzzcocks were good; Smith was incoherent.

Smith was on his feet, but he was staggering round the stage, trying to mess around with the levels.

I had a ticket to see the Specials a few months ago, but they called off the gig (the only one on the tour that they cancelled). Then, I couldn't get the day off work for when it was rearranged :(

How often have you seen John Cooper Clarke? I was looking forward to seeing him, but he was even better than I hoped he would be.

Johnny - I can't speak for most of the bands you mentioned, but Yeah Yeah Yeahs & Arctic Monkeys are both superb live

Oh yeah, forgot that one, i'm at the same gig. Contemplating getting New York Dolls ticks too for early 2010.

Saw the Specials earlier this year at O2 Brum, best gig i've seen this year.

Going to see UB40 in 3 weeks. Wasn't till I bought the tickets I heard that Ali Cambell had left 'em! He's the lead singer ffs. Still, we'll see.
Oh and Eddy Grant is the support, groan.
