It's right to say it's the end of the Mayan calender (which has triggered all the other theories that have cropped up) but what most people leave out is that another cycle starts straight after it, as it has done a number of times - 1 end is another persons beginning and all that.

I am happy to offer 10000-1 on this happening. The only downside I can see as a bookie is that there is such a thing as the afterlife somewhere, in which case I may be getting knee-capped in my new form.
