Joking aside it is scarey just how much has changed in a relatively short space of time (80years) film those same areas now and instead of playing spot the black man its spot the white man. In another 80years time who knows what it will be like.

Yep there was no crime in those days as that only started after ww2 (absolutely no crime gangs operated in petticoat lane in those days) there was absolutely no squalor, nobody lived in slums or died before they were 30 through easily curable conditions, oh happy days.......

Went back to South London today and passed thru' New Cross/Deptford/Lewisham and 2/3 other areas and less than 6/7% of the kids were White.
What a contrast as 40 years ago it was 98%.

Hang on! If less than 2% of the London populace can produce over 90% of schoolchildren in 40 years, how many will the "90%+" produce?

Just to clarify then: you equate large numbers of people being (generally brutally) killed because of their race (not colour) with people feeling threatened and moving out because they believe (rightly or wrongly) anybody who wasn't born here (and can trace their ancestry back at least what 2000 years?) is more likely to commit crime? Glad we got that sorted - those who have died so atrocities don't take place would be proud of you!

agree bobby, it does actually looks like its been filmed recently doesnt it but just dressed up in 20's gear, could be easily done these days, think its the quality of the film which makes it look like that tbh.

Well i lived round there twenty years ago and deptford was black then , as was most of new cross apart from the goldsmith students.

Ironically Blackheath was nearly all white !!!! but go down the hill to Deptford and it was** central

What jumps out for me is how little traffic there is, apart from buses.
