Don't don't they just trained up some more drivers fro the 4 million unemployed?

MPs attacked First Capital Connect and union bosses for leaving thousands of commuters stranded today due to a driver shortage on Thameslink trains.
FCC cancelled 200 out of 400 services, used by more than 200,000 passengers. It warned there was no end in sight to the disruption.
The drivers, members of the Aslef union, are involved in a pay dispute and are refusing to work rest days or overtime.
FCC, like several other operators, relies on overtime to run the full service.

if u employ a load of people u will always get a certain amount of "no-shows", bereavments, sickesses, "slept in" etc etc...
don't let how a company runs with a striking workforce sway ur opinion of how it should run its day to day "normal" operations... |

i actually hope that a striking workforce encourages job losses. this could be due to people finding other means to replace what whatever product or service the strikers are striking for.
