I don't know if you are deliberately being obtuse or not, i am not interested in the behaviour of so called "fans" of either side.

What sectarian past do Celtic FC have?
Any examples?

They fly the Irish tricolor at Celtic Park, but they were the first of the big two to employ players of the opposite denomination. Rangers didn't employ a Catholic as a player until the early 90s (late 80s?). Name was Maurice Johnston, who had previously played for Celtic

thats a myth actually wur, apparently they employed a catholic player in the 70s, a Swedish player I believe

even then, that is shocking because can you compare the Edinburgh teams regarding this situation?

for some reason David Murray decided to say that the Dundee teams were just as bad sometime last year, even though we're nothing like the weegie teams

Liam - you mean...what? The signing policy? Danny McGrain, Murdo, Big Jock, Kenny, Billy McNeill...not all Jesuit priests, obviously.

Everybody knows Rangers operated a protestants-only signing policy, but lately they've had a catholic captain and a French (catholic?) manager.

Are you willing to "forgive and forget" ?

Obviously, sectarianism must exist AMONG BOTH SETS OF SUPPORTERS.

Well, there was a huge ballyhoo that Rangers had signed a Catholic at the time.
By:
punterfleecer
When: 12 Nov 09 20:27
ballyhoo indeed, so bigotry is rife in Glasgow then?

The dogs used to go around with two way mirrors then, for a London lad it was a wee bit interesting

I was in the Mulberry a few times around then. Battlefield was 'dry' so not a lot of competition.

The general guess-timate (from The Guardian) is that there were 15 catholic Rangers players before Mo Johnston...the fact that they're counting at all is kind of pitiful.

Don Kitchenbrand is one name that springs to mind...Theophilus the Penitent was another.

I had a great time up there, one club we used to go to was Ultratech, couldnt tell you much about it except it was in the city centre

I remember, having a "Next" order delivered to my door well "ex's", and it was some psycho, its not that bad honest, those days are in the past now

I figure £4.85 is the least you owe me...I mean, a worker is worth his wages...it was so long ago, I blew it on the ITV 7.

The high flats were across from Ardencraig - it was on a main road.

You only used to do it for pennies anyway, it would have lasted you a month.

Unless you spent it on Lanlik

What you make of Zenyatta then, Zilzal?

Don't tell me you've seen many races better than that!?
By:

Actually - it looks terrific now - they've spent a lot of money in Castlemilk and it looks like a Danish town or something. A lot of privately-built houses there now...and the chippy in Croftfoot is brilliant.
By:

When: 12 Nov 09 20:49
perhaps so, but, if you go at the roundabout at the hole in the wall, the left was the dodgy area and turning right the half decent area...........I had lived at the turning right bit

but on the whole Castlemilk still ain't pretty, after all, it's the same people living there, only that the council built their houses, after all that fat pizza guy from "sweet sixteen" was shot to death through a living room window streets up from my place(my ex's rather)

it's still a terrible place to give your dog a walk

Superb Vela, i really have warmed to the Breeders Cup , and her manner of victory was stunning-a pity she will be named the Synthetic queen and wont be given the prominence in the future.

The cup will be back on dirt next year and its getting harder to rate foreign runners with the three surfaces now as dirt runners dont seem to turn up and act on the other two.

Had a mare punting though, i backed Charm School at 10-1 and came level on the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the forecast with Gio Ponti, for your £4.85 !! Or £2, more like...if he'd won, I would have had a lot more - 16/1 was a daft price...also did a tricast with Einstein. That was it for the night, really, as I wasn't that bothered about the other races.

Wasn't that bothered that I lost out on Gio as the winner was so brilliant.

I might go to Cheltenham on sat if its on, i really fancy Best Actor in the long distance chase, forget his pulled up at aintree as this ground will be up its street, and it will be a price

I'll make a note of that Mr.Zilzal - I can't be ar$ed with the jumps - I generally just follow David Pipe and lovely Venetia on a Saturday. David Pipe seems to ping in some big priced winners on Saturdays.

That Venetia - she is shrewd! She don't drive no Maserati 'cos she is a do-nut, mate!

Good luck mate

All the best, Mr.Zilzal.

If I ever find that Evelyn woman I'll run-up the bat signal over the Castlemilk shopping centre.

P.S. I think Venetia drives an Aston Martin...yeah...
