Dear Halifax Bank Valued Customer
We recently noticed one or more attempts to log in your halifax Online banking
Account From a foreign Ip adress and we have reasons to believe that your account was
hijacked by third party without your authorization. If you recently accessed your account
while traveling , the log in attempt may have initiated by you.

100% yes.. the spelling mistakes should be enough but if you hover the mouse pointer over the supposed link it will point somewhere completely different, amazed anyone gets sucked in by these things banks will NEVER email asking for private details.

I got one recently about updating my outlook security settings for my bt internet email address.
It asked nothing except to visit a link and I reckon many people would have been suckered in by it. The link itself was (to me) obviously dodgy and so I avoided installing the latest virus etc I also checked the ip address and it was in Peru, and I don't think bt have outsourced there yet :p
