6/12 x 5/12 x 4/12 x 3/12 x 2/12 x 1/12
Report 3jacks November 9, 2009 1:03 PM GMT
or 1/12 x 1/11 x 1/10 x 1/9 x 1/8 x 1/7 if you are only picking 1 number before each drawing , than 6 at the start

12x11x10x9x8x7x6

Or 6/12 x 5/11 x 4/10 x 3/9 x 2/8 x 1/7, depends.

1st reply should read 6/12 x 5/11 x 4/10 x 3/9 x 2/8 x 1/7 but i think my other post is what you are after
Report RIGHT SAID FRED November 9, 2009 1:05 PM GMT

Report RockMonkey November 9, 2009 1:15 PM GMT
Do you have to get the correct order or just which 6 of the 12 will be first ones out?
Report The Leopard November 9, 2009 1:15 PM GMT
What type of hat?...
Report RIGHT SAID FRED November 9, 2009 1:17 PM GMT
no real order. just six numbers tomatch with your six numbers
Report Splicer Keats November 9, 2009 1:18 PM GMT
ffs, with all the figures people on here you would think someone would know it.
Report Ken Masters November 9, 2009 1:20 PM GMT
Ah, in that case it's (1/2 x 5/11 x 2/5 x 1/3 x 1/7) = 1/161
Report Ken Masters November 9, 2009 1:21 PM GMT
oops - 1/231
Report RIGHT SAID FRED November 9, 2009 1:22 PM GMT
the answer is 5,544 to one
Report Ken Masters November 9, 2009 1:22 PM GMT
Well I've just drawn 231 times and it only happened once.
Report RockMonkey November 9, 2009 1:23 PM GMT
If order doesn't matter I'd be inclined to think that as odds of any individual number being drawn out in first 6 is evens, its a 6 runner acca all at Evens, ie 63/1. Can't be that simple tho, can it?
Report evski November 9, 2009 1:24 PM GMT
n!/ r! (n-r)!

where: n is the number of balls

r is the number of balls to be picked

so the lottery would be calculated like this:

49!/ 6! (49-6)!

if your question is supposed to work like a lottery the answer is :

12!/ 6!6!
Report RIGHT SAID FRED November 9, 2009 1:26 PM GMT
its ok i have the answer thanks
