By:
I went outside with my mates and started smoking.
By:
just interested lads - lets see what the 'i gave it up ' brigade have to say
By:
Stopped going, as did a lot of my friends in Uk, hence the demise of the British pub.
Look on the bright side though, the few who are still open can charge a fortune for their bottled water. |
By:
i had to stop......not clever trust me.
By:
I smoke. For five years I didn't smoke. non smokers make too much fuss about the smell and the DANGER.The ban is killing pubs.
By:

By:
lmfao, did more people start to enter the pubs since the stinky smokers left?
By:
I live in Portugal now, it has been banned here too, though it doesn't matter so much, you just sit outside in the sun anyway.
Having said that, i have been in loads of bars here were you can smoke if you want, maybe the police have better things to do here. |
By:
I would imagine so
By:
I really dont see an arguement against a non smoker and a smoker bar .as for restaurants fair enuff non smoking .
By:
went to tenerife and lanzarote last year they have smoking bars, its up to you if you go in.
By:
I gave up smoking about 3 months ago and i used champix to stop :-)
By:
Neither could any free thinking person casemoney, but those who like, and wish to be controlled, will vote for anything that they think gets them one over on someone else.
Hence, the bars are now smoke free, hooray! (but also customer free), boo! Cars are bad for the environment, hooray! (but a lot of people are going to be unemployed), boo! Coal is bad for the environment, hooray! (but a lot of mining communities will be devastated, and we will still import it anyway), boo! |

i have always been able to stop and start whenever i liked...sometimes i enjoyed a ciggie very much..e,g.....after a meal or cup of tea.......aftrer the years slip by the flem comes to the back of the throat...smokers know what i mean...
By:
now i was not a heavy snoker 7--10 a day since i was very young.....for the ;ast 20 years always used a plastic filter from chemists..99p for 10............................so lads a little test for you.........buy a pkt of filters smoke couple ciggies.....see the black tar that comes out.......goes round clogging your lungs with this tar substance,,and thats what other people breathe in.....try it.
By:
after 6 ciggies filter totally clogged with black syrupy tar...without filter ...tar goes in the lung and clings there ....
By:
Everyone knows that, if you blow smoke into a hankie it's very brown, nicotine stained.
I have known people who have smoked all their lives and lived into their 90s, i have known people to die of lung cancer in their very early years. |
By:
As with most things in this country the ban was wrong ,should have been segregated bars I.M.O ,but i feel the damage has
been done ,and the regular smoking bar drinkers wont return the £50/£100 a week punter has gone 15/20 of them in a bar pay the rent bills etc ,massive loss for any buisness.. |
By:
good pubs are doing well
bad pubs dont deserve to. |
By:
the ban stands out as just about the one right thing this govt has done
and most of us agree with it |

what about tar drenched lungs? - i've seen a live op - not very nice tissue compared to a non-smoker who has not been subject to second hand smoke I've seen what happens when drunken people push their will a bit too far. Death is painless. A smack in the hampsteads isn't. :^0 |
