Stopped going, as did a lot of my friends in Uk, hence the demise of the British pub.
Look on the bright side though, the few who are still open can charge a fortune for their bottled water.

I live in Portugal now, it has been banned here too, though it doesn't matter so much, you just sit outside in the sun anyway.
Having said that, i have been in loads of bars here were you can smoke if you want, maybe the police have better things to do here.
By:

Neither could any free thinking person casemoney, but those who like, and wish to be controlled, will vote for anything that they think gets them one over on someone else.
Hence, the bars are now smoke free, hooray! (but also customer free), boo!
Cars are bad for the environment, hooray! (but a lot of people are going to be unemployed), boo!
Coal is bad for the environment, hooray! (but a lot of mining communities will be devastated, and we will still import it anyway), boo!

Everyone knows that, if you blow smoke into a hankie it's very brown, nicotine stained.
I have known people who have smoked all their lives and lived into their 90s, i have known people to die of lung cancer in their very early years.

As with most things in this country the ban was wrong ,should have been segregated bars I.M.O ,but i feel the damage has
been done ,and the regular smoking bar drinkers wont return the £50/£100 a week punter has gone 15/20 of them in a bar pay the rent bills etc ,massive loss for any buisness..

I've seen what happens when drunken people push their will a bit too far.

Death is painless.

A smack in the hampsteads isn't. :^0
