By:
Yes a bit strange that Flea, I would have thought that we'd have more sausages not less.

3 stars on our International Football shirt

All the Jeremy Kyle mob would have been dispensed with.
So there's a big plus. |
By:
sorry more sausages, you cant deny its a nicer country than England
By:
it would've been impossible unless you ended up with a 1984 situation, with 3 great powers forever in a perpetual war. And that picture did not look rosy. National Socialism could only work in a never ending war and false economy

Of the major cities I have been to Munich, Frankfurt, Koln and Hamburg - and I only found Hamburg to be in any way "a bit iffy".
By:
Paderborn
By:
I take it you didn't go to the frankfurt train station. Like entering the set of Christiane F in Glasgee on a friday night
By:
I'd love to go to Hamburg and experience the reeperbahn
By:
You take it wrong then, I went to various other areas as well and I felt safe walking through the streets at night. I'm not sure that I'd feel safe to walk in areas like Moss Side and Hulme in Manchester at night though.
By:
Hamburg is a great city, but as any large port it has areas of huge deprivation
By:
but the reeperbahn? ;o)
By:
;)
By:
there'd be no one to tarmac my drive for a start.

We would Not be here, Many men would have been transported around Naziland as Slave labour.
By:
All the wee lassies currently shrieking about the European Super State would really have something to moan about. Except they wouldnt cos they'd be shyting themselves everytime there was a knock at the door.
By:
From the evidence available, the tragedy of relentless murder in a police state would be alleviated by rather base humour centred around cafes, english airmen, and paintings of fallen madonnas with big boobies.

wotta mistaika do maika

Royal Family would probably be the same

'Is it worse than the concentration camps? Arguable.'
I really don't know what to say. Root beer, anyone? |
By:
In fairness, not as many cretins as usual on here claiming that living under Nazi rule and persecution would be great. Still the odd one or two, but most must still be sleeping off the 15 cans of wife beater

By:
in fairness, germany in 1936/37 was very well run. until hitler went mad the same sort of country would not be too bad IMO

People are used to the forms of suffering they are familiar with.
In Nazi Germany everyone was afraid of the authorities, with good reason. And it is quite possible tat they would be locked in endless war if they couldn't conquer America. They did not, however, suffer from the same ills that we do now. Junk food, poor physical and mental health, the class system, feral youth whose minds have been addled by drugs, the list is endless. Global warming? Not a problem if the Nazi's ruled the world. The Govt wouldn't worry about what big business thought. If they were out of line, off to the camps and get some new ones in! It has been plausibly argued that the quantity of evil in the world is constant, it just takes different forms. |

in fairness, germany in 1936/37 was very well run. until hitler went mad the same sort of country would not be too bad IMO fake economy, fake jobs created by the military that paid a pittance. Must've been great living in that era |
By:
compaired to the economy and jobs now ? never mind the crime and the leniant jail terms been handed out.

I doubt you've ever seen anything like them. Try to curb your overactive imagination, with its mindless stereotyping. I haven't the slightest desire to live in Nazi Germany, in case you hadn't noticed. I just don't think that living in the 51st State is exactly paradise either. We are descending slowly into hell during my lifetime. If you haven't noticed, you're not very observant. |
