althought there's something about the way that Lt Gen Cone says "His death is not imminent" which suggests that will be the inevitable outcome.
Lt Gen Cone...you can't go wrong with a military man whose name is a solid geometric shape.

I've just taken a look at Fort Hood on Google Earth, and let me tell you the place is massive, and he only managed to kill 12 and injure 31. How did he get to the rank of Major with a pathetic strike rate like that ?

My grandfather served in Bomber Command. Towards the end of the war the RAF were coming home from night raids just as the yanks were venturing out. He said his crew felt like grouse in August. Very nervous people, the yanks, he said.

Yes, for all their bellicosity they have an oddly hysterical quality. You wouldn't want them next to you during an attack.
