three billion chickens worldwide. No shortage of them. Let's breed endangered animals for the farm. Tiger burgers. We could release the excess billions back into the wild to kill the chinese? It's a solution. Logic people. Pure logic.

It will make people (I hope) think about their bonfire - which in my opinion never suffers from a relocation - and follow your advice. If you don't already have an OBE/MBE/ the other 'BE(s) for services to promoting the welfare of animals, both pets and wildlife, an injustice is apparent. Keep up the good work and best wishes to yourself. Agreed parachute, he was a great bloke. |

I have built a hedgehog house for one regular visitor which looks a little under weight to make it through hibernation. It hasn't moved in yet but when it does I just hope it keeps coming out for food during the first cold snap.

That's a very kind thing to do, sad saddo. Don't give the little fella or lassie any milk, but you no doubt know that. :-)

They love suet pellets(pink variety) and I top up with cat biscuits kenny. They also go mad for a little bit of apple crumble cake as a treat. Water is important if you feed em dry stuff.

I give snails cat biscuits, they can devour one a night.
I've heard mealworms are bad for hedgehogs, saddo. |
|
By:
That's kind of you Kenny.
I feed my slugs and snails radishes, lettuces. courgettes, cabbages, spuds, seedlings and much more. They simply help themselves to whatever is growing in the garden. |
|

Hedgehogs ARE edible you know HTH.
Waste not want not and keeping out the cold on a frosty winter's night. |

Always a welcome visitor. Our garden is wildlife friendly, ie a mess albeit a slightly managed one.

Thanks Dr, I also feed slugs as well, but not as often as snails.
Here's a fabulous song and short film from the great Burl Ives, which I'm sure you'll remember. The Ugly Bug Ball https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utWrIWq2_tk |

Wonder if putting an EU flag on one would now be considered a "hate crime", given how oppresive society is becoming? Only one way to find out!
