At the moment, there's still plenty of time for a change of heart. However, I think JP and his "advisors" will want FTF for the budget airline race - a penalty kick to most observers.

Aye im sure hed love a Ryanair over a Gold Cup.

The vibes about Inoyhewayurthinkin are increasingly positive (rather like last year) and he's shortened into 9.6. He's a sure stayer, and a C&D specialist. Their expectations for how he'll run are presumably part of what JP is considering.

Will all these vibes work out, trainer talks up a horse price shortens, podcast hoors talk up a horse price shortens(most are backed by bookies)why lay a horse at double the odds when the lambs will roll the dice at half them.
When ye look at all the blue on oddschecker some hoor has reved it up. |
|
By:
Do you think bookie sponsored podcasts give out tips they think will lose?
|
|
By:
Not necessarily but bookies are happy to lay at vastly reduced odds when overround is a couple 100%,a lot could be bigger on the day it's just if the stable really like it it will more likely be under those odds
|
|
By:
I suppose that it is in the interests of bookmakers to talk up as many horses as possible.
|
|
By:
The contraction of the price of 'Ino' is bookies' ruse. The horse has as much chance of winning the Gold Cup as I've on receiving a Nobel Prize for picking winners in all forms of gambling eg horseracing, football, stocks and shares, national lottery, etc.
'Ino' has a zilch chance unless the 1st 10 horses standing after jumping the last fence all fall. His runs this season so far have been howlers. I think he's a shadow of himself. Do not waste your money picking 'Ino'! |

Not long to go. Don’t want to bock anything so won’t talk about what I’ve already done.
Brave Fortune in National Hunt Chase is latest addition. Also Sinatra in County looks well weighted and very well campaigned so far. Kim Roc in Kim Muir is also well covered at 16/1. Anyone got any last minute fancies. |

Willie also said that GW ran a perfect trial for the Ryanair at Leopardstown, so it sounds like he will need to be persuaded. The betting is leaning as you say Hibore, but more clearly for FTF. Naughty Willie ![]() |

This is for nothing, just a bit of fun.
In spite of not being a fan of Hendo I'll side with Lulamba in The Arkle. Then it's Coolio (RSA) and Warrior (Gold) for the next two. |

Do you think bookie sponsored podcasts give out tips they think will lose? Who do you fancy for the Gold Cup? bet365, Pat Cooney I think The Jukebox Man won the King George at Kempton despite the track and trip, and he may well improve again at this tougher course. The dry forecast will also give him his optimum ground conditions and the stamina test should play to his strengths. Betfair, James Mackie The Jukebox Man can add to his King George success. He's been primed for this race all season, is one of the best jumpers in the field and is one of the more likely stayers of the trip in the contest. Coral, Andrew Lobo, Coral In the absence of Fact To File, I’ll plump for Grey Dawning, who has probably been saved for this as his long-term target. Opinions welcome |

Happy to give you my bets and opinions, unlike yourself Dela.
I backed Gaelic Warrior at 14s for the Gold Cup in October. But as things stand, it is a no bet race for me. I think they all look below top class and any of five could win. I know you have pasted lots of quotes and people's posts but never actually saying who you like. Which is quite clever, because you can come on after and claim the winner. As usual. |

By:
I’ve given plenty of strong opinions, on more than one race!

If you knew how to read me you’d know what I was selecting by how I write, I gave my view on the Gold Cup straight after the King George where I used my limited skill with National Hunt to relay my views and runners of the race.

GW into joint fav for the Gold Cup. Decisions made? A decision was made two years ago… That’s an opinion a firm one whilst people were still wondering if Gaelic would run in the Ryan Air!! I’d quoted Mullins after the Arkle win, where he’d said that Gaelic had won the same race a novice chase as Gallopin, upon looking myself (no one corrected me even though I asked) it wasn’t a chase but hurdle. Last yeas place getter GG was also beaten in the hurdle which bodes well for AF, history does repeat and trainers are creatures of habit. |

Watch @ 6:15 where he compares his career to Gallopin whilst keeping all options open! ![]() He only mentioned winning the same Novice as Gallopin, NO chase was mentioned, my mistake. These games meander their way wirh horses and the likes of Willie has to because he has so much class, last year Gallopin was given his chance to be a 3 time Gold Cup Winner and Gaelic sat it out, this IS the year that it was written from the day that he won the Arkle to line up in the Gold Cup on Friday. RR has had to sit and wait until then. |

Mullin’s (if you’ve watched the link) was playing with the horses future targets after it won the Arkle! The horse was bought to win a Gold Cup, planning goes in from the day the cover happens by the stallion at stud!

Sizing John was another. It tackled the Supreme and Arkle then won the Gold Cup. Let's hope Gaelic Warrior can follow that of Sizing John.

![]() 3 Gaelic Warrior DJ's view: Patrick Mullins told us back in about 1863 that this chap would win the 2026 Gold Cup – did you listen? If you did, you would have got a much bigger price than he is now. Looks likely to be sent off favourite and once upon a time I thought he was unbeatable at his best |

Gaelic Warrior has never won for me. He chinned me when beating FTF at Punchestown. I hope it will be the 1st time tomorrow. At least he's running in the Gold Cup, all things being equal.
