The trains leave BIRMINGHAM NEW STREET at 12 minutes and 30 minutes past the hour, every hour (usually from platform 7 or 11)
As ronnie rails says, they will be packed but there are plenty of courtesy buses from the railway station to the course. Do not play cards with strangers! GL |

Worcester would be where I would suggest a good town with some decent bars restaurants without the hassle of a big city ,direct train to Cheltenham and if you were to get carried away in Cheltenham missing the last train a taxi isn’t the end of the world.

I’m fine thanks regarding Benidorm that was a one off after over 40 years at the festival I just fancied a change ,whilst I wouldn’t put anyone off giving it a chance it wasn’t really for me. Merry Christmas to you and a safe and healthy new year see you in may if not before. |

Irish the Railway Hotel you stayed in is now surprise surprise a Wetherspoons.
Not sure whether that has improved the site but from memory in its latter life The Railway was a right fecking dive - and that's being polite |

Apologies, you are correct. There is a small charge for the shuttle buses. |
