Shishkin for the price. Otherwise, Constitution Hill but the price is sh1t, and AC beckons if one is a big punter. Either one is not much of an incentive to back him.

This is the year for some while I'm not much looking forward to Cheltenham. The potentials of Constitution Hill and Galopin Desc Champs are known; the Champion Chase is lacking depth. I hope Sir Gino wins handsomely and can be a serious contender for the crown of Constitution Hill next season.

El Fabiolo for me too, but I won't back him as too short for me.
Galvin in the Cross Country is the one I will play on Wednesday.
Report brandyontherocks February 23, 2024 5:21 PM GMT
Hope you're right, Paulo.
On him at 40sExcited

Report FOYLESWAR February 26, 2024 9:32 AM GMT
how much would losing a shoe affect performance ? prob a fair bit thinking about it!

JPR One in the Arkle. On at 40. Meanwhile the Henderson form has fallen off a cliff. Six of his last 8 runners have been pulled up! I won't be backing any of his this year.
Report sageform February 27, 2024 3:03 PM GMT
Sounds like there is a doubt about Constitution Hill which confirms my suspicion that the yard is not in great heath.
Report layingisthewayforward February 27, 2024 7:36 PM GMT
I'll go Under Control in the County Hurdle.
Report LoyalHoncho February 28, 2024 12:06 PM GMT
I'll have a look at that yeasty - Many thanks.  Great post, giving a reason for the optimism.

Folk lazily re-quoting theHenderson recent form lines need to look at his record for the same period the last two seasons. Guess what ? It's nearly identical to this season. He is running all his lesser lights on the fortnight before Cheltenham as always. It's no surprise and nothing unusual.

Report brandyontherocks March 3, 2024 1:33 PM GMT
The report said that she did not travel well.
Not very helpful.

Report brandyontherocks March 12, 2024 7:30 PM GMT
She hosed up.
Hopefully they are brave with her next season and do not waste her career like other mares
Report duffy March 12, 2024 7:50 PM GMT
Only problem is that next year she may have to deal with you know who as well as maybe Sir Gino and State Man.
Report strontium March 12, 2024 7:58 PM GMT
Who knows how good You Know Who will be 3 years on from what looks like being his career best. Anyway, Lossiemouth has already secured her value as a broodmare.
Report brandyontherocks March 12, 2024 8:36 PM GMT
As a horse RACING fan her worth as a brood mare means nothing to me or you.
I want to see in the big races.
Report strontium March 12, 2024 8:39 PM GMT
Sure. My point is, they can run her in the Champion Hurdle now because she's already a valuable mare whatever else she does.
Report brandyontherocks March 13, 2024 6:05 AM GMT
Very true.
Hope they do.
Report sageform January 14, 2025 7:05 AM GMT
The nap now has to be Galopin des Champs. He looked magnificent last time out and will improve for further. Only injury or a fall can possibly beat him imo.
Report impossible123 January 14, 2025 1:25 PM GMT
Galopin Des Champs for me too. But, for Fact To File I'd have had more on him. The latter (a cover) is green too.
