Must say he is amusing to watch and UTA is better for it as was getting a bit stale with Gavin. Poor old Jennings must be pulling his hair out with all the contradictions and horses that are “a million” when they are scoot in 3 days later. Never thought DJ would be the sensible one on the show.
This week highlights were the comments on Edwardstone and Editeur How’s he made money all these years is a miracle looking at his weekly tips for charity. Good luck to him though he must be good bloke to have a beer with.
yeah watched it , just down to personality i for one would never say a horse has no chance in a race, ive got the bite marks over the years when thinking that , tbh , i enjoy watching the shows they are entertaining but would not take their tips seriously or back them.

Agreed, and you very much get the impression that Jennings is well aware of the points that Hibore highlights above because he always feels it necessary to highlight the point that down the years Dineen has made money.
It's a bit of fun though and passes 45 minutes or so

Yes it is a bit of fun but if you fancy energumene you roll over laughing, like when he says made money all week but lost it at the weekend and then kills himself laughing

last week johnny said something along the lines of" thats got no chance no chance at all ...id cut me head off rather than back that " reminds me of the old betting shop days a very vocal guy used to shout" id rather have a shyte and eat it than back that "

I listened to Tuesdays last night as ever very entertaining,I thought his assessment of the clarance house was spot on ,however I wouldn’t dismiss the chances of edwardstone in the champion chase as strongly as he does ,he’s been a very good horse for quite a while now.

He says what he thinks and not what he thinks he is supposed to be saying. He also talks from his wallet, which from a punter's point of view, is exactly what you want to hear.

Completely disagreed with his assessment of the Clarence House, reckons Edwardstone had every chance, no allowance for the effort made by the horse to make up that ground against a horse waiting in front.
Liked what he said about all the nonsense with the "stories", Jennings asking him about Honeysuckle and the winners enclosure if she won and he said , not interested as he'd be looking at the next at Southwell top stuff

Ok sorry, I got confused, thought it was here and then it wasn't, NoI don't disagree with that part of it, should have said completely disagree with the Edwardstone part of it...my thoughts on the Clarence House are
duffy 28 Jan 23 23:24 Edwardstone didn't jump well enough early on through the steady pace, he was also keen at various points, he improved as the race progressed and when they raced proper late was when he jumped best, however with the winner being allowed to set a stop start pace Edwardstone had too much ground to make up which cost him at the end as he flattened out after the big effort, with the winner saving a bit from being allowed to set a steady pace.
The winner won't get away with it again, as we now know if we didn't already, that Energumene has to go out and win his race by pounding the others into submission, not be ridden for a turn of foot, this was the copycat mistake they made with Chacun Pour Soi the year he was supposed to win the CC. The issue for Mullins though is that an end to end gallop will suit Edwardstone, reckon he comes out of this race today with most credit in relation to the Champion Chase.

As I said in my earlier post I felt he was wrong to dismiss edwardstone so easily he’s a very good horse ,hadn’t read your post on the Clarence House, couldn’t argue with any off it,hopefully they all get to post for a fascinating champion chase,

Made me laugh when he had a little pop at Skelton talking about how you'd know that the horse would have been only 80% fit
What do you do, stick something in after the race...ah yeah, 80%
Deffo wouldn't mind going down the pub with him for a pint

I like DD myself, he set a strong pace and did really well to be right in there still until late on, he also didn't look to be setting it because he was running away with the jockey, if they can ease it back a bit with him now then I think he will be right in there.
