Surely an e/w tip for the champion hurdle must be for a horse that isn't going to be in the race with a view to actually trying to win the race but rather something that is aimed at picking up the pieces late on.
On that basis Honeysuckle seems, to me at least as a horrible tip, if they decide to run her it will be to properly compete, she is on the downgrade and will be facing hers and probably any 2 milers toughest challenge in recent years, and a battle with CH will very likely have her on the receiving end late on.I'd have thought a place lay would be the way to go with her.

Sharjah (OR 164) is the highest rated horse she has ever beaten. ( I think )
State Man and Constitution Hill are both rated higher than that already. Possibly Vauban will be too come March.
So even if she does run to her very best it will tough to place. ( If she runs )

Hard race this year depending on who actually runs it, but I just can't be having Thyme Hill. The biggest chase field out of the 3, only had 4 other runners in it. Nothing like Cheltenham will be like.
Thunder Rock is the same but has run in a chase at Cheltenham before, which is always a good thing and it was also against the current favourite, front runner The Real Whacker, losing by less than four lengths. Mostly 20s across the board now including billys NRNB, might be worth a shot.

Thunder Rock had looked okay before his last run which happened to be at Cheltenham. I thought he struggled with the fences. The trip will be an unknown, and he is totally unproven in bigger fields. He never looked likely in a big field at Sandown. Hold up tactics not great either. Looks a dart throw to me.

Thank you, much obliged. I'm not sure I'd have one that's refused to race on my radar for the GN, at least not at that price, but that maybe why I don't get paid the big bucks by the RP :)

It is appreciated Ashleigh, thank you. Information is always good, whether or not one follows the tips. For better or worse, Pricewise still moves markets, so his tips are significant.

so you pay a fortune to find out....
Then you put them up on here....

It is peoples choice if they want to follow TS. It is also Ash's choice if he wants to post those tips.
Personally I do not follow TS. Hence I don't criticise Ash for posting them, because I am not interested.
If people are not interested in this post go on to one you are interested in.

Always worth knowing what he has tipped as that way when you see some money for a horse on oddschecker you can work out if it is shrewd money or just the Pricewise effect.

don't put up profit and loss because the prices put up at 6pm online are unobtainable.
TS best bet for Cheltenham 2024 is Gaelic Warrior at 16/1 for the Turners Novices Chase. no doubt irishone will be lumping on.

haha...irishone not having a pop ,serious question ,this time last year u was slagging the bha they needed to do something about the horse welfare,,,Did the white boards save a few?,i read 1 of the days there were no fallers or unseats in the 4 chases,,,so maybe they did? Havent seen any negative press after the festival re deaths ,falls injuries etc,but honestly dont know the fatality figs im sure there were some unfortunately

I wondered whether the fences themselves were somewhat "softer", it would fit with the current direction of travel and with them being park fences rather than the national fences it wouldn't be entirely obvious, I'd be interested to see what the jockeys thought.
Look at Dinobue's two mistakes at the last two, she went through both of those but didn't come down.

I think the colour change to white had a significant contribution to no fatality at Cheltenham compare to previous; the "softer" fences if true would be a factor too. But, the colour change to white was emphatic, I firmly believe.
Well done to the enforcers regardless.

I'm trying to remember what horses have been shorter than this jolly 2 months out? I know the Champ Hdl often has a shortie, and we've seen some pretty long odds-on for a few other races, but 1.38 must be close to a record?? For early January, at least.

I watched the race when he met Sir Gino, and he didn't look in anyway unlucky. He headed Sir Gino, but that horse was much the stronger close to the line, and won going away. Sir Gino started 21.6/1 and Salvator Mundi started 9/1 so it wasn't as if nothing was expected from the second. Since that race Sir Gino has bolted up twice, and Salvator Mundi has done nothing. Not sure how that makes Salvator Mundi a value bet? It looks like another case of backing the trainer rather than the horse. At least he does have a little more in terms of form than yesterday's selection which seems to have been done on the same basis.

With any commonsense they will "save" Salvador Mundi for next year novice hurdling. Both owned by Donellys. Sir Gino chasing Arlke next year . Supreme for Salvador. Run him in triumph/punchestown Grade 1 for expereince.

Sir Gino shouldn't be going anywhere near a fence next year IMO, he'd only be 5 and the potential he has hurdling, provided of course we see again in the Triumph what we saw the other day, he should have a season with a crack at the Champion Hurdle as the target, but of course being with Henderson and with "you no who" there it will probably mean that he will be fencing.
