Only half decent one I have seen from over there (outside of poison nickys), so far this winter ...but will nichols have him right on the day ? ...will nichols turn up for the festival (hasn't done lately)
Horse looks pretty unbeatable, willie and the lads will have their best out but the horse looks like a tank for you english lads this year .....
Nicholl's seems to sound a bit sorry for himself when talking about the festival, what did he say? what's the point in running to finish 5th or 6th, sounds a bit pessimistic considering the impression the horse has given so far.
He was pretty stung after going into the festival buoyant last year with the horse only to be well and truly put in his place by Bob O and this year he once again will have either the same horse in his way or maybe even more scary, Galopin Des Champs.
The big plus is that he looks a lot better chaser and his jumping has been exemplary whereas Bob has only had one run and will need to improve his jumping.

Yeah nichols is the worry Think the horse has got it But whatever it is Nichols hasnt
Stormy Ireland a classic example, 6 wins under willie, goes to nichols no wins, back to willie three more wins. I mean stormy ireland is a half decent horse but nichols couldnt get a win out of him in four months ?

Would be a crime if Nicholl's feels that he's taken one too many beatings at the festival that he ducks it with this horse.
What a beautifully fluent and clever jumper he is, regardless of what the Irish have it shouldn't matter.
I'd have thought it runs the risk of scaring off big owners with good horses if they think that their horses might not be getting trained with the festival in mind.
He's saying similar things about Stage Star I believe. I'm sure John Dance et al will step in and tell him to give his head a shake.

The Irish challenge will be strong but don't forget that Denman was beaten in the novice hurdle before running away with the novice chase. If Paul thinks he can win he will run.

Nobody is questioning his record at the festival, what is being questioned is whether he has suffered one to many knocks there and in essence his bottle has gone.
Of course he knows more than us laymen but BMG not going to the festival because it will somehow work against him/not ready etc is nonsense, he jumps like an old hand ffs and has looked as impressive a novice as we've seen in recent years.
The horse he well and truly put in his place at Kempton is entered in the GC ffs!!
I'm sure when it comes to it he will run and reckon it will be another crack at Bob O and maybe get him in trouble with his jumping rather than taking on Galopin Des Champs whos jumping looked immaculate too on debut and looks as if he will be a really strong stayer at 3 miles.

He obviously didnt turn up last year, I want him there because I think the horse is half decent.
Like to see a few decent ones at Cheltenham festival now ....wouldn't want Dublin to eclipse it.
Just checked, latest record is actually worse !He obviously didnt turn up last year, I want him there because I think the horse is half decent.Like to see a few decent ones at Cheltenham festival now ....wouldn't want Dublin to eclipse it.
He might as well run at the festival, looking at the KG for the next couple of years it looks as if there are plenty of potential Irish superstars that will be queuing up to give him all he can handle. Clan was laid out for it this year and the Irish won it with the rag.

The intention is for Bravemansgame to run in the novices’ handicap over two-mile-seven as a prep for Cheltenham. We’ve put him in the Denman in case anything happened to Clan, but the intention is to run in the handicap,” said Nicholls.

Nicholls horses rarely run up to their marks at Cheltenham, especially if cobdon seems to ride. I’ve not seen the stats tbh, but it feels like it, I like Bravemansgame but will take a few lb off his mark when going through whatever race he turns up in.

Why is he running him so close to the festival? Its a shame but when you go over there and see Siredegrucy, mywaydesolzen and goshen trained by basic amateurs you realise the difference in class between willie, aiden, gordon et al and your moores, tizzards, hoBbs, nichols.
Those horses failed to reach their potential . They should have been cheltenham winners time after time but the trainers never got to the bottom of them.
Mick Channon knew the score !

Maybe it’s more to do with the facilities the horses are trained on?
Maybe Nicholls has changed something since he had his big stars ten years ago?
I’ve noticed some trainers have great strikerates on level tracks, but they are awful on undulating tracks. I’d guess they don’t have a decent hill facility to therefore train and the best out of a horse at Cheltenham?
I was told that Alan King had a massive hill he’d gallop them up, but he seems to of faded from the Cheltenham winners enclosure for instance.

young tizzard did the same when he took over ...changed the fallops around
Gordons is dead flat ?
I have a notion that the twists and turns and undulations at Galway give you a clear indication of a cheltenham prospect since i watched annie power and don come up the hill in their youth

That’s strange hoe Elliott has loads of Cheltenham winners then without a hilly gallop.
Yeah you are definitely on the right path, I take notice of horses that go well on tight tracks.
Was it Bellestown that had a couple of horses run their enroute to winning at the festival? It can be the strangest of places that they hone their skills.

It is starting to look a bit like Bravemansgame may be Nicholls only runner in the nov chase despite him saying several times that Threeunderthrufive would run in it too on owners orders. Has PN now got his way and talked the owner into the NH chase or have they been putting us away all along? It does seem the better option for Threeunder tbf but i guess we will find out later today.
