Carbon copy of Hell Red. Now a million to win it, and ante-post bets already in tatters. Warning for next year don't get carried away with Nicholls' Chepstow winner.

Last 10 winners. 1 debut in France in March as a 3yo (quilixios), one in June (peace and co), 1 debut in July, 1 in October, 2 in November, 3 in December, 2 in February. So there is a 50% chance that the winner is yet to run over hurdles. My research also showed that 6 of the 10 never won over hurdles again after the Triumph so are they a guaranteed lay profit?

Fil Dor looks decent and he has appealing pedigree but the winning times have been pretty slow.
Lydia Hislop beat me to it, but a Knight Salute looks the one to beat, doing so in decent times compared to other races over c and d.
Porticello was behind him at Doncaster and then franked the form at Chepstow.
The only issue is the ground as I think KS will need quickish going on pedigree.
14/1 looks big for a horse that seems best of the British at the very least in what looks a poor division this season.

Some of Nicky's emegerged very late as I recall. Peace and Co and First Bout are a couple that I don't think would have run yet. But wonder if as many ex-French will jet over this late this year.

Interesting trial at Cheltenham should help shape the market tomorrow.
Iceo was decent against the clock at Kempton and Is my choice. I’ve took abit of 14/1 for the triumph with the assumption it beats the Elliot 3rd or 4th string who will of been sent over to gauge hoe good the opposition is, and possibly run poorly to get a nice mark in the boodles.

What about Vauban, he looked strong at the finish against Pied Piper on debut...stronger test looks very likely to suit, can't be a lot between them, but the market looks to have latched onto him to a degree after PP's demolition job today.

Wow! Very impressive, Nicholls horses seem to run poorly today so maybe his is worth another chance? Maybe down to the usual January Nicholls flu jabs.
