Not sure the OP’s analogy is relevant to the point he’s making about a disproportionate response to the Elliott incident.

Foyleswar is spot on. A reputation can be destroyed in double quick time particularly given widespread use of camera phones and the power of social media.

The original error of judgement was then compounded by both Elliott and IHRB.

Elliott for issuing a nonsensical explanation for why he’s been snapped sat on a dead horse when he should have handed his licence in pending the outcome of an investigation.

IHRB for handling the aftermath in typical cack-handed fashion and certainly no sense of urgency.

The OP is talking mainly garbage as usual however i do agree the witch-hunt has gone far enough.

My view is that that sort of thing should not be happening, but obviously it has been , because we saw 2 cases just this last week.

My sincere hope is this case will stop this sort of thing happening, it should do, i would think.

Time to move on now, and hope not too much damage done to the sport.
