yes i think that will be the reason foyles if envoi did not travel {highly unlikely}the marsh would be the easier option, hopefully it does not come to that, betting aside we want to see him race in the arkle.

I can see the Arkle being decided at the second last - no matter where they put it that fence on the old course is more often than not the deciding factor over 2 miles. Which is why it is a watch for me.

I can't see how giving the license to someone else in the same stable is going to be good enough, the whole stable is tarnished by this, how are we supposed to know who is innocent and who is guilty.
The video of the young jockey from 4 years ago raises the question that this behaviour is endemic, I mean, who is setting the example that he thinks that behaviour is acceptable.

Jesus wept. The trainer has held his hands up and said sorry it was his stupidity. How can you tarnish anyone else ?

Not flavour of the moment at 4.1 now. I think it's only prudent and wise to back him on the day. The stable is iffy eg French Aseel and Benie Des Dieux. Also, possible engagement in The Marsh despite market indicating otherwise.

i backed french aseel soon after they crossed the line at christmas well aware the horse was trained in a small yard with very little experience of big occasions ,so when a couple of weeks later the horse went to willie mullins it put a spring in my step and the 14/1 was looking even better,oh well thats racing.

Oh dear! Another disgusting incident at Closutton. A drifter the last few days culminating in being matched at 4.7 from 3.8 yesterday. Bingo! He's lame and out of Cheltenham.
Normally I'd commiserate with connections, not this time. His stable stinks: Benie De Dieux, French Aseel and now Energumene, every one 'lay' till confirmation of non-participation a few days later.

Met with a setback then went lame. A setback during work? If so, why was it not reported? Why wait till he was lame? In that period Energumene drifted and 'lay' accordingly.

Still a tactically interesting race - Allmankind will likely blast off, and Shiskin seems to race lazily for the first mile (the end of his races is much the best part).

Yes, it just means Allmankind can go that bit slower. Personally, I think he will blow out again and probably not even place. The question for me is whether something can sit in behind the leader and then get the jump on Shishkin. If they do perhaps they can draw a mistake and the favourite might not be able to close the gap. I don't think Shishkin's jumping is as solid as everyone else seems to believe. He has thrown in the exhibition stuff when races have effectively been over. Mid race he looked iffy against Gumball.
