lead in your pencil failing that have a pencilfullof lead each way . brief write up  monkfish the fav and the albert bartlet winner and every chance he will be as good or better over fences won well on his chasing debut but as low as 3/1 for the rsa and no value . one who can be backed at 20/1 billys is pencilfulloflead a good winner last time beating latest exhibition a bit further than monkfish did in the spuds race ,lightly raced with the right connections and should be  plenty of improvment  to come , this race looks ideal and only had 7 races in his career  .
selection PENCILFULLOFLEAD . RSA CHASE 20/1  EACH WAY  billys ...........opinions encouraged fire away ........stand back and stand by.

Nice horse foyles but not sure he’d even run unless it’s a quadmire...if he got soft he isn’t a mug but the chances of that and him running without that would have to be questioned...best of luck with the wager

The other thing I would add foyles is you’re interpretation of that form with latest exhibition who clearly didn’t back up his previous run 18 days earlier and whom despised the ground that day at punchestown. I would be in the camp that’s says latest exhibition will be a different horse next time if encountering better going and off of a lay off. I still think he’s a proper horse myself his next run will tell us more. He still appeals to me personally

he may be better on heavy harry i dont know, he has won and run well on yielding to soft and soft as well , soft hopefully should be ok.

yes i would agree with that harry the comparison was just a tentative line highlighting the gap in  price of monkfish and pencil .

He is going to be a nice horse foyles but I’d say winter going is going to be his thing

This is the comments after his win make what you will foyles but I’d be slightly worried punting him on decent going not saying you won’t get soft

Pencilfulloflead, who achieved bumper and novice hurdle victories at Down Royal and Punchestown respectively last season, was introduced as a 16/1 chance by Sky Bet for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham in March and becomes Elliott's fourth Florida Pearl winner after A Toi Phil (2016), Jury Duty (2017) and Battleoverdoyen 12 months ago.
Elliott said: "The softer the ground the better for him and there is more to come over three miles. He’ll be entered for the three miles Grade 1 at Leopardstown over Christmas but if it was very testing at Limerick he could go for the two and a half miles Grade 1.”
Winning jockey Blackmore said: “It was a very good performance. He’s a real stayer and he needed to be out there today.
“He was a little tight to the third last but I gave him a little squeeze after it to make sure the door didn’t get shut. I had plenty of horse under me and he did it really well to the line. It’s great for Brian Acheson as he’s putting a lot into the game in the Robcour colours.
“He jumps and he stays. They were Gordon’s words to me before we went out and that’s what he is. He’s a lovely horse for everyone to have.”

interesting harry i usually like to have a few shots ante post in these types of races so somewhere along the line i will look for another  one at a price for cover ,once i have enough on this one.

Fair play pal I’ve had small money on latest exhibition but not sure how good he is...I still think he’s a good ground horse but still needs to improve...a lot of horses need to show their form next time for me to take a proper interest in the race. Monksfish looks a good one to me but I need to see more. leopardstown at Christmas could be a classic race and will tell us more I won’t be guessing till after chrimbo as think it’s a bit of a guessing game at this stage. I might have a bit more at latest at 16 as think he’s loads better than that below par run the other day

good luck harry .

went in again yesterday and today and as long as billys dangle the 20/1 carrot i will keep topping up each way ,the florida pearl looks a serious piece of form with the 4th and 3rd court maid and brace yourself filling the 1st 2 places in a 75k fairyhouse handicap   since , pencilolead beat the winner of that race by 20l plus, early days but it looks a very good effort and with just 7 races under his belt room for plenty of improvement .

Chantry House entered Friday over 3m, change of mind by trainer?
Had him for Marsh, now covered RSA.
Report miltons sophie December 9, 2020 12:31 PM GMT
CH not running Friday. Trainer said running Saturday not Friday as ‘wouldn’t want to go 3 miles yet’. Read into that what you may. Personally I think he will end up in RSA but who knows.
Report buddeliea December 9, 2020 5:00 PM GMT
Ha ha, oh well, wonder when he will want to go 3m? This season or next??
Report harry callaghan December 31, 2020 8:22 AM GMT
Just on you’re horse foyles he really went up in my estimations on Boxing Day, the mare just done him but he still ran a really good race over an inadequate trip, without finding as much as you of liked under pressure...no mean effort though giving the mare weight so even though the market didn’t adjust him I’d say you’re bet is even more alive after this effort...he looks just the durable type to keep on improving and 3 miles is what he wants...I may have a little myself to cover my book on latest exhibition, whether either can put it up monkfish I don’t know but you should never be scared of one horse and the price is good...I’m not one to have much of bet on ante but worth having some small interests along the way if the odds are ok.
Report FOYLESWAR December 31, 2020 6:08 PM GMT
yes i was pleased with that effort harry ,trip would have been short enough and just run out of it at the finish ,hopefull they will go rsa. fav looks good and will take a good un to beat him,on a line through the 2nd( i know it dont work out like that)  not that much between them and as ya say you cant run from one horse!

Santini went RSA last season so why not Chantry House this season? I think he'll be annihilated by Envoi Allen and Shan Blue (to name two) in the Marsh, if he shows up there. Btw does anyone have an issue with Hendo announcing to the world today on his patron blog Unibet Dusart has met with a setback and Cheltenham is very, very unlikely?

I think that's disgusting a top trainer chooses to do that. Not learnt from the Altior incident then, I presumed.

Yes but what you know about training racehorses is akin to your mothers decision making ,like her we all know now that she should have kept the stork.
Report FOYLESWAR December 31, 2020 9:40 PM GMT
people would have more of an issue  especially backers if he said nowt id have thought .

No need to. The market is the best indicator when it comes to betting - money talks!
