To be honest the Bumper isn't a race I even bother to pay any interest in and certainly don't know the ins and outs of the form, I just liked the way he toyed with the challenger before quickening away and just wondered what price he was, even accepting I didn't know the form of the others, on balance I thought that 33's was likely to be too big.

Yep, looked impressive doing that in that ground.
Trainer talked him up before the race yesterday.
They think a lot of him.

16s across the boards now, including NRNB, so I have had a nibble myself

“I was disappointed with her at Market Rasen. The winner looked a very good mare. However, she was a young mare travelling away for the first time and probably learned a lot from there.

“She enjoys being ridden that way. Patrick rode that way in Galway the first day, and that renews my faith in her.

“We’ll have a chat about where she goes and I’d always be keen to go to Cheltenham.”

Well he lobbed panic attack out of his stable to pipe , obviously something happened there, same owner bought her for less than 10k.

Syndicates mob are English and Irish , pile of them drinking in Galway after racing last October. Grangee is a little black mare loved Galway took the 50s and the 33s for the bumper, total guess last october but just thought with one of Willies anything could happen.

Imagine a trainer in ireland running a horse he has known all winter is a bit special.
He saves it and saves it until three weeks before the big day
Wins its prep 5 lengths goes to cheltenham and upsets willies annual applecart
He has done it before
Imagine !
