For pocket reasons I hope this is not a bad sign for Saldier
By:
Had to consider it especially with the state of the race this year.
Now please commit her to it. |
By:
Oh blimey, so do I.
Did not think about that. Too much happening!!! |
By:
might be wise not listening too much about what Rich Ricci says about cheltenham going on his past record
By:
yes if he says only one race for bennie and thats the champion ,then get ya bets on for the mares

Ricci was an ex-City "gent", and taking his word as gospel at your peril. Remember Vautour: No Budget Airline race. The rest is history.
By:
NRNB has 3 mares at the head of the betting!!
Who would have thought that start of the season. |
By:
Supersundae 33/1 just confirmed as going for this race!
It always needs its first run so should come on a lot for the run, and in my opinion reverse the form of those infront of it on Saturday. Crucially is has old course form when winning the coral cup over 2 mile 5. |

Official Ratings for the top English horses
Call Me Lord 160 Verdana Blue 160 CornerstoneLad 159 Epatante 159 Has there ever been a weaker challenge from the home team,on ratings alone ? The two mares receive the 7lb,will that be enough ? Strange look to a Champion Hurdle this far out. Surely there must be value in there somewhere. Struggling to find one standout performance this side of the water, this season. Espoir D,Allen came in under the radar off 162. No surprise if we see a similar result second week March. |

Honeysuckle going mares race.
By:
Yep,looks likely according to racing manager.....Nothing is set in stone but we’re still leaning towards the Mares’ Hurdle with Honeysuckle.
“The main reason is that two and a half miles is her optimum trip. She’s top-class over two and a half miles and we want to do what’s best for the mare at Cheltenham.” |
By:
Epatante is the least exposed of the leading contenders.
By:
saldier,klassical dream out injured.

B0ll0cks!!!
Saldier my biggest interest in the race financially. |
By:
can see one of the mares ending up running in this, most likely honeysuckle
By:
Honeysuckle is dependent on BDD running in the CH or Stayers to allow her to run in the Mare's which would give her the best chance of winning a race at the festival IMO.
By:
BDD is Mullins,so are the absentees today.
By that logic I would say BDD is the more likely for this race than Honeysuckle. Personally I think both will be in the Mares. |
By:
According to Walsh with Lydia BDD may not have the pace for 2m as she's been over fences unlike Annie Power. Also, she'd need supplementing. Of the two I'd think Honeysuckle would be more lightly than BBD for this race, but I believe they'll not meet either.
By:
I'm completely biased as I've got nice prices for both Stayers and CH for BDD, but Mullins has already got Stormy Ireland and if Laurina's problem is that she is just frightened to death of fences, might have that one too both for the Mares.
As it stands he has to rely on only Sharjah for the CH whereas BDD would be nearly favourite on the day, she has a big question to answer on whether she's quick enough but it's a shocking CH that is falling apart by the day and they all have questions to answer. I'm yet to be convinced about EA certainly over the longer trip, but the 14/1 about this race is , jeez, they should be putting this notion that it would somehow wreck him going forward to race him in open company at this stage of his career, it's a poor race, the opposition that is beginning to mass in the Ballymore coupled with the trip isn't going to be a cakewalk. |

giggy/ elliot gotta mull it over shirley envoi may be going chasing next season but opportunity dont knock too often and the door was ajar its now been kicked off its hinges after today .
By:
Perhaps they'll take the easier route and run him in the CH

By:
took some of the 20s on here only for buttons though
By:
me too
, I got 55's about BDD, in the off chance they would supplement her and then Ricci mentioned it the next day. Two likely non runners but I'm a sucker for those big prices in the lead up to the festival as I view it as getting my money's worth during 30 days of fun hoping for an announcement.![]() |
By:
Wonder if Mullins will give Melon a supplementary entry - clearly hasn’t taken to fences but would have a leading chance here on his previous Cheltenham hurdles form.
![]() Pity I can’t anywhere to have a speculative few quid on him at a three figure price. ![]() |
By:
1. Epatante
2. Pentland Hills 3. Supasundae https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-Lb2Kt5Dec |

those could be the only 3 runners schlotter.

Irishone, don't be rising to the bait. Our time will come ;) tal
By:
Are they considering Cilaos Emery for this?
See hes priced up on oddschecker....needs to be supplemented. |
By:
I read that his w/e hurdle entry was just a ' confidence booster ' .
By:
with doubts surounding,Honeysuckle and Benie Des Dieux
participation in this,I've had a few quid on Petit Mouchoir @60s on here. This looks wide open to me and someone might run and hammer the field and turn into a worthy champion. Petit Mouchoir has'nt won for a while (a 2m beginners chse Punch' 2017). Didn't set the world alight chasing, back over hurdles now. This horse did finish 3rd in the 2017 Champion Hdle (6/1) being beat by Buvier Dair and My Tent Or Yours, about 7L. Shows he retains ability by being runner up to Saldier and Sharjah and running a close 3rd to Honeysuckle last time. Front runs and will probably find one or two too good but do think he's over priced on here compared to some. 33s with some books(E/W) GL ALL |
By:
Hey Penzance, I can certainly see the theory behind it after its last run. The headgear recently applied for the last few races has certainly helped it.
But it’s by Al Namix who in my opinion tend to be gutless when eyeballing another horse in the last furlong. Could be on the scene though to pick up place money though. Maybe a keep lay on raceday as he normally trades much shorter. |
By:
Petit Mouchoir? You cannot be serious. The horse has not won over hurdles for over 3 years!
His last performance looked respectable because of the underwhelming run of Honeysuckle (inadequate distance); 2nd Darver Star was easily beaten by Envoi Allen; Supersundae is regressing; below par performance of Sharjah. I think Honeysuckle will run here if Benie Des Dieux runs in the Mares Hurdle. |
By:
Honeysuckle, Benie Des Dieux,Envoi Allen
and Cilaos Emery might not show, all shorter in the market.Pentland Hills has twice finished behind Ballyandy this season a horse I can't see winning the Champion, could be wrong though. Couer Sublime has'nt done much for the Triumph form either. He was 8L behind Petit Mouchoir last time out. This is wide open, imo. |

Next someone will put up Pic D'Orhy after winning the Betfair Hurdle recently.
By:
they are considering supplementing him
By:
More money than sense, I firmly believe. Maybe they will after my post. Big 'lay', if so.
