no horse deaths or injurys ,and my 4 horse multi to take out half a million would do !
|

By:
1) Some of the smaller stables have winners and the four days aren't just a Henderson/Elliott/Mullins benefit.
2) We have some proper spring weather. Last year wasn't too much fun. The heavy ground and cold temperatures made it a long slog - for horses and punters alike. |
|
By:
I 2nd no horse fatality or injury. And Buveur D'Air, Altior and Native River retaining their crowns; a win by Battleoverdoyen and Lalor would be the icing on the cake.

To land a ridiculous £1 RFC to win a grand! .... same every year lol!
For the fez to throw up a superstar novice is also a given. |

Barry Geraghty announces his retirement.
* Just watch he'll probably be Top Jock now. Has a great book of rides. If Mark Walsh was #1 jock to JP i'd be all over that price. ![]() Agree would love to see PP win the GC. |

No deaths or injuries.
Win enough to hand my notice in the following Monday. BD,Altior and NR to win again. Paisley Park to do what he did the other day at Cheltenham. Any of those would do me,more than one would be something else. |

Take it as read no horses getting injured (an no jockeys either) or killed
A profit on my punting would be great, but that's a universal 'given' for everyone contributing in this forum No flag-waving would be great, if idealistic. Racing generally (and Cheltenham specifically) acknowledges no country lines for me, just that you turn up and pay homage. I wish someone would take the Prestbury cocking Cup outside and shoot it. The price of a pint of Guinness not soaring any higher. I don't eat at the course anymore (a fiver for a bacon bap was the tipping point) but when you're in the Arkle Bar with the lads, you can't NOT have a pint but £5.20 a pint is taking the pi$$. Not freezing my ging-gangs off in the centre of the course for the Foxhunters (be a bloody first if that did happen!) The Prince of India in Stow honouring our booking for a thrashing curry on the wednesday night! Preview evenings occasionally addressing the handicaps and panellists not putting folks away. Oh and all the usual beautiful, mad, 'us against the world' mayhem that's frowned upon the other 361 days of the year! |

Laurina, Valdieu, Mortal and Rhinestone winning would be nice.

Sorry to be a bit of a killjoy but lovely, smily, everybody loves her Bryony being put forward as a reincarnation of AP / Francome at every opportunity.
It should be about the horses first and those who do the steering or training second, regardless of what dressing room they use through the day. She's a decent jockey and I honestly have nothing against her personally, but the racing media don't half love wheeling her out at every opportunity. |

all jocks and horses return to fight another

You get the gushing with gals just as much as the boys
I aint a fan of women jockeys mainly because i think they aint as strong physically Lizzie kelly has proved me totally wrong I dont like seeing my male jocks getting done by them in a finish ...but i can still laugh at their weak attempts to play football I know for a fact that most horses respond better to women |

Me too!! ![]() |

Oh....I'd not dare say that to Davy Russell, he'll make you eat haggis everyday with fried Mars bars as desert.
|
|
By:
As already said by many all the horses and jockeys to come back safe and the weather be kind to all those going.
I wouldn’t mind been fed haggis everyday ![]() |

Fewer dead horses.

A new star, or at least one jaw-dropping moment. Right now it is hard to see where that might come from but it usually does.
|
|
By:
After the obvious safety concerns. Weather is the number 1 priority. Too crowded if everyone is forced inside. So hoping for no rain and temps over 15C would be nice.
Hanx, I am pretty sure they were charging £5.60 a pint of black stuff on New Years Day. (However the day is a bit hazy ) |

like to see Hobbs and Richard Johnson get a winner

Might Bite back to his best.
Shattered Love back to her best and declared for the Ryanair. While we're in Disneyland we'll have Samcro back to his best in the CH.Hurdle. Can't wait, 34 half sleeps to go, I wake up in the middle of the night semi-drunk in Stratford working out bets in my head. |

A bit predictable but as nobody's mentioned it yet:
the best story would be a win for Lalor for our Irish friends a swansong win for Un De Sceaux (his sporting connections deserve it!) for me, a share of the placepot on the Friday is likely to be the holy grail ![]() |

Agree no fatalities, but Lady Buttons to run really well in the Champion Chase.

The meeting being on would suffice!
However, sitting on the best antepost bet ive ever had:- 8/1 Le richebourg 3/1 Tiger roll 12/1 Paisley park 10/1 Sir Erec each way yankee Be extra heartbreaking if that's voided! |

Another thing I like to see is a horse come back
After cock1ng up there before. Kemboy put in a terrible round of jumping last year Elegant Escape done himself no favours a couple of times Great to see them come back have another go and get a clear round |
