When Sportsbook going NRNB?

Bit embarrassing that they haven't yet.

Guess that with the handicap weights now out, they're waiting for the 'well handicapped' horse to be punted with everyone else before sticking their heads above the parapets

To be fair, I think its good they havent yet.

There are plenty of NRNB options out there at reduced odds. If you really fancy a couple and are confident on their targets you can get much juicier odds with those firms not yet NRNB.

Yeah why dont they cut their odds in half in the month or two before the Festival so all the lemmings can take their appalling value in the knowledge they will get their money back if horses who trainers will move heaven and earth to get to the Festival dont actually make it there.

There is no hope for some.

Incidentally, bookies are killing the interest in the Festival by offering nrnb early. Those like Ekbalco, who dont understand the poor value they are getting, will soon stop betting on these poor prices after plenty of times seeing a bigger price for their horse on the day.

Those who havent had a frontal lobotomy and can see the poor value (obviously another ploy to increase bookie profits by offering less overall value) will stop placing bets earlier than previously as it is akin to selling their house at half price in case the deal falls through and they are quite rightly insulted by it.

To be fair - Bet365 and SkyBet have been NRNB AND BOG for a while, so if it drifts on the day then doesn't matter.

Agree about NRNB when there's no BOG to go with it though, may as well wait.

I wouldnt know as whenever i ring Bet£3.65 for an antepost bet i get the reply 'Sorry sir, i'm afraid you cant have anything on that'. I am also limited to a £100 stake by Slybet.

Just in case any of you show a profit antepost at any stage these are 2 to avoid for the Festival.

By the way, there is no such thing as 'value' in gambling - it is by it's very nature a valueless pastime - you are merely guessing that your % guess of an outcome is higher than the bookmakers % guess at an outcome.

They should be applauded for not going NRNB and keeping stand out prices on most horses. Big thumbs up.

NRNB with BOG is a gift with no Rule 4 and so many short priced favourites.

It matters not with this rancid outfit, they wont lay more than two bob

BOG just guarantees your price against the SP. Not the opening show. Not the more advanced prices in a week or so. Not the exchange prices. You don't get any of the specials on the week of Cheltenham. You don't know what the ground will be. You don't know your opposition. You probably don't even know who's riding your horse.

The advantage of NRNB with BOG now saves any Rule 4 if short priced are withdrawn.

Yes but you are taking shorter prices shaving your value from the bet. Long term you cant win day of race without inside info. Antepost was a level playing field but punters like yourself who dont understand this are bringing everyone's value down.

The reason being the more popular with punters the more likely you are to be given nrnb. It is removing value from antepost. Those taking it are not really antepost punters they want day of race terms but cant have full antepost odds with that. Bookies will squeeze and squeeze the prices year on year if it becomes popular there is nothing surer.

In fairness to the Sportsbook, they remove any confusion for punters. Some firms are going all in run or not, others are going non runner no bet, the Sportsbook just goes no bet .

blueton .. no offence but that does sound like arbing albeit not placing the win stake with Sportsbook but with other bookies. Is PPower a company you have done this with? They will have a record of your activity with them obviously if you arb their prices onto here.
