How many of the 15 dec'd will line up - if it is 8 then at least the ew market looks vaguely interesting as 1/4 about Douvan  whilst realistic is no sort of bet  . This  could easily end up with 7 runners  if the ground quickens up and as for   L'Ami Serge ... seriously ? I thought he was a hurdler now?

I like LS for a place, he's got a touch of class will be held up out the back and can still live up to his twicer label and be able to run through beaten horses.

Trouble with L'Ami is that he is a twicer and  he hasn't been chasing since before Christmas - was at Fontwell the other day and backed him but he seemed off the pace over further . Maybe get some  form back at the festival but am concerned that an ew bet will be hampered by 7 runners .

@CheltFestNews Sizing Granite to join Fox Norton in the Champion Chase for Alan & Ann Potts.

At last some good news. Took the 5/2 on Fox Norton (w/o Douvan). Really like this horse a lot. Nice prep race after injury when second to Altior. Looks progressive.

Sir Valentino might be worth a small e/w at big odds. If his last run is taken at face value he is well overpriced. There is nothing to say whether that form was right or wrong and he looks to be improving. 50/1 when last I looked.

a dead race now, a virtual walkover for the favourite.

Scrap the Ryanair and the jlt, otherwise the Queen Mum and Arkle will cease to exist soon, is my suggestion.

Someone called to question the well-being of Douvan in the ATR Chapman phone-in and Cheltenham preview last week had been proven correct despite the denial from the Mullins' camp.

Douvan was clearly was not right. He was neither jumping nor running well at any stage of the race. I hope it is nothing serious and he can return soon hopefully Aintree or Punchestown.

Douvan found to be lame

My antepost is now in tatters, skybet must be laughing their ass off as he was in all of their festival banker increases

Only shining light might mean Douvan is a back able price next time? (And I'm stretching)

Must be the shortest price loser in Festival history surely?
